Abt pacing, costume drama needs slower and better pacing. Modern drama it's ok to speak faster. But if one is not well trained, they have the tendency to speak too fast for costume (ex FL in Louyang was really bad pacing). Dubbing needs breathing exercise too. In short this skill takes years to master, while most pp can do modern, only a few can do costume well.

A project like this only come once in a while and everyone wants a piece of it.

For me I'm pretty fussy, I get irritated when the pacing is bad, or I'm watching costume and the sounds are too modern. If the sounds not perfect I would rather hear VA voice.
