He never fail to surprise me from one drama to another, you see big progress.

LYX is an actor who acts above his script, not afraid coming to director if he does not agree with the script in order to create a fuller character. Bad actor plays bellow the script, average actor plays based on script, Great actor plays above the script. I also feel in longer drama like C Drama, we see more inconsistent acting output. In a year I usually only see 2-3 good character performance that is stable from end to end (in Costume)

I do hope he gets notice and has more main stream role which he can't access due to his small agency. But now after TTEOTM I hope to see him in full blown comedy drama.

No they cut 50min ttl. PP got wrong info. Drama was registered for 58 eps, aft finished filming they changed to 50 eps @45min each. Now due to new reg it is 40 eps @55min each.
So it was their intention to cut this short and be v fast pace drama.

One thing abt LYX is he is very consistent in his interviews in the past 10 yrs. He has grown from not confident actor to one that deserves much respect.

There is an article abt this. TTEOTM is breaking the drama norm, V exp CGI, not relying on CP but on plot, V high budget, good actors etc. This make other producers/platforms uncomfortable they need to up their game and if TTEOTM is set as benchmark in Xianxia, they need to improve as well which they might not want due to reduced profit.

As for Other actor agency if one go up one must go down, there is not many good projects around esp now. They need to protect their own artist and fans do the same.

Why I always say LYX is a good actor, because the actor LYX is a million year away from His Character, whether it is Runyu or TTJ.
A lot of time I see actors in real life are similar as their characters and that’s what I don’t see in LYX and any of his characters. His interview answers remain the same 10 yrs ago or now. He never lost himself in the sea of Dark Ent industry.
