Well, as I watch data, all dramas and the actors buy hot search. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Some actor buys tons some v little. But what is smart fr Youku is rather than spending 4500 hot search like last yr popular dramas, they spent it on billboard. However, at the end, mkt is useless if they try it and drop it. At the end explosive drama is good drama, well marketed yes but must be a good product by itself.
Now wt new reg, they must dub themselves or if producer not satisfied actor must pay VA not producer pays. This is good and bad, we will start getting bad lines fr actor who never spent time learning their skill . Good because at the end only good actor shines and not capital facial paralysis actor. One thing I dislike in C drama is sooo hard to find good actor, it's even harder to find really good actress. What I admire fr LYX, he knows his line is good, he knows pp praise him for his acting and yet he does not buy Trending weibos for his acting skill nor his line skill. Which i see everyone who can't deliver their line well do it.
