I think they showed enough of their love story to see some changes in Lee rang`s personality. As you said, their love story is a subplot. If they will make a third season, she won`t be in it (as they intend to go further in time). Or maybe they will show a continuation of the 1938 events.

I have a question. Taluipa met the King of Hell/ Underworld. Is he her brother? I read that she is the younger sister of Yeomra. When they met and talked about who would have freed MuYoung he suggested that there is another powerful deity who could have done it. I wonder who he is. Maybe another brother of Taluipa and Yeomra. Or maybe they thought of Taluipa`s husband. He might have the powers too.
Who is the King of Heaven? I don`t think he will appear but I am curious....

There is a love -hate feelings towards Lee Yeon.

Now even King of Hell gets involved. I wonder what deal he made with Mu Young. Was he still having remnants of the transformation into stone? I think Taluipa sent King of Hell to help Mu young.

I can`t wait to see Lee yeon, Hong Joo and Mu Young spending time together but I am sad that it will be short-lived. They will fight again and things gets ugly. Let see how it will be. I want them to reconcile quickly. All three are needed to fight Kato.

After watching ep 5, your theory can be truth. If Taluipa freed Mu young, she played to not know who did it and sent Lee yeon after Mu young for a reason. Maybe Taluipa needed all three mountain gods to be together in full capacity.

It doesn`t seems to be an alternative universe explanation of time travel so far. We have to wait and see but if it is not the case, then Taluipa did not say the truth about not being changing in the future if past events changes.

Season 3 isn`t guaranteed. Lee Dong Wook said that if this season will be well received they could do a 3rd season.
It is possible to have another season but I think, this time, the 3rd season will be a continuation of this season. I could see Hong Joo stealing the stone and going back in time to change the future events and Lee Yeon and Shin Joo going after her to prevent it. But I really hope S2 will end without needing another season to see the resolution.
Filming for S2 took amonst a year to film. If they will want to tell the story further, it would be better not to take too long between filmings. JMO

Exactly. I don`t like the seasonal dramas if they are not finishing the story. If all the seasons have different stories, I am nothing against it.
I hope they will have a proper conclusion to the main storyline.

They had a plan for a third season of ten episodes but they will produce it if there is enough interest. So far the ratings are satisfactory/good. If the plan was for new two seasons it means that the story is still open in the end of second season or they let something unresolved. I don`t like when this is happening. I hope the writer have a chance top say the whole story.

I am waiting for episode 5 where Lee Yeon and Hong Joo will have scenes with Kato, and Lee Yeon will discover the identity of the masked man.
Ep 4....why the baby appeared at Myoyeongak?

Mu Young was punished severely for what he did in the past. I don`t think it was a mistake that he was freed. Let see who did it and why. I also don`t believe that he was set free to do harm to Lee Yeon but he can`t help it. He is angry and hurt. Lee Yeon followed him in the past.
I could see that Mu young will die in 1938 and the first person who wants that guardian stone will be Hong Joo. Now I understand why they announce that 3rd season in further back in time. If they will make it, I think Hong Joo will be the antagonist, like Lee Yeon will chase her to not alter the past events and to bring back the stone to 2020. We`ll see.

From the preview of ep 5, things will get dramatic between the three old friends. Lee Yeon, Hong Joo and My Young fight again.

I thought it might be Taluipa`s husband who freed Mu Young. LOL But I don`t know. We`ll see.
Hong Joo doesn`t want either one of her friends to get killed. She was angry of Lee Yeon for rejecting her but she was there and watched how he faught the monsters. He managed to save himself. I am sure she would intervene if things weren't going well. Even Mu young did not really hurt Lee Yeon. When he became blind, MY wanted to hit him but he knew that HJ would protect him.
What I understood, Hong Joo knew that Mu Young was punished (she heard about it) but she did not know why. As a friend, she would have been curious but maybe Taluipa did not want to say anything. What I am curious is what Hong Joo did to Mu Young. She said that because of her he was hurt and that she abandoned him. As we saw, she is helping Lee yeon or My Young when they need it.
I am sure they will eventually get together to fight a common enemy, Ryuhei Kato, and other monsters.

About Mu Young.... I did not see very well. Is he sick? What is with his body? Another mystery. Hong Joo said that his body scars are because of her. I liked the scene at the Ice Hell (whatever is called). Old Man gave her a flower to warm up. He is such a sentimental man. Hong Joo knows that her two friends will collide and knowing her, she won`t want to lose either one. I hope she will mediate between them.

It was said that he traveled back in time four months after his brother`s death, So you are right.

That`s a strange way for the show to excuse what Lee yeon will do in the past. One should quit the job and she/he will not be punished.

Episode 4 was slow but we found out some information. Mu Young wants save his brother and wants revenge on Lee Yeon. It was not to save Hong Joo but to bring back from the dead his brother? Strange but at least that could explain why he came to the past. To find the item that could bring up the dead who was lost in those times. I am alright with this explanation (to find the item) but how he will bring back a long time dead man? Very strange. Why not travel back in time to the moment Lee Yeon killed Mu Young`s brother? He had the stone to travel back in time, right? Is would have been more easier.
Half the episode we saw Lee Yeon, Lee Rang and Shin joo rise the baby girl. Very cute baby! And she melted Lee rang too.
Hong Joo find Lee Yeon from her times. I know someone else who will want the stone. Hong Joo.
I like the conversation between Hong Joo and Taluipa`s husband and Hong Joo and Mu young and her bodyguard. We saw the vulnerable sides of her.
Shin Joo is becoming involved little by little with Eun ho`s movement. Lee yeon will meet Kato Ryuhei next episode.

She was punished just for killing that Japanese soldier. Taluipa`s husband almost said to Hong Joo that Lee Yeon was not punished because he is from the future. If you asked me, that`s not a good reason. The rule exist for a reason. Taluipa punishes some but forgives others. Not fair. Hong Joo is very impulsive and she is so possesive but I admire her that she speaks her mind.

I am sure Lee yeon was punished too in S1. They have to keep the mountain gods in check because they are very powerful. Look what Mu Young has done because he lost his mind .

I am very curious who saved Mu young from his punishment? It was Taluipa`s husband ? He is my number one suspect. LOL BTW, he is having any powers? What is his job beside being the husband of Taluipa? I like how well he is getting with Hong Joo. He likes her.
I still believe that Mu Young came to the past to save Hong Joo. I have a feeling that Mu Young will die in the end of the drama and Hong Joo will steal the stone to go to the past. LOL
I liked the scene where brothers play like children, the story of the little girl who was made Saetani was sad. I like how Lee Yeon starts to realise the concequenses giving up the duty as a mountain god. But he saved her from the cursed in the end. I liked how Hong Joo protected her girls even if she does not open up to them, she cares for them deeply. All scenes of Mu young and Hong Joo. I liked how she told him that both her friends were not around when she needed them. So true.
I also liked how Hong Joo pointed out that she is getting punished for killing a human but Lee Yeon killed more and he is fine.
