I like it. It shows we have all kinds of people in this world; we're not homogeneous. Even within my own family, we can't see eye-to-eye on many issues, including this drama.
No, not just you. Same here. However, I'm into "The Untamed" now. Absolutely love it especially the OSTs. Check…
Forgive me but please refresh my memory, are you talking about The Untamed OSTs because I can't find the Goodbye My Princess OSTs on Spotify yet. Yes, The Untamed OSTs are the best I've ever heard.
Yes, one of my favorite of their public appearances together.
OMG! You're absolutely right. My bads! I was only listening to the song without looking at the lyrics and assuming they're the same thing. The "xiao" character is in the name of the title in "The Smiling Proud Wanderer", so I assumed it was the same character. I was so wrong. In the song here, it actually means "God knows".
All this talk about boy love has completely put me off wanting to try this as that's just not something I'd enjoy…
Don't worry too much about all these comments here. Many of these are just locker room talk. It is indeed not fair to compare Nirvana In Fire with this drama side by side; it is like comparing an apple with an orange. Many viewers including myself have enjoyed this drama because of how brilliantly it stirs up emotions within us. We find ourselves empathize with the characters, and we can relate to the world they live in. Many of us also find the visual effects very appealing, plus all the sound tracks so beautiful. Do try listen to the main theme song (Wuji) and see if you like it. Of course you may have a very different set of criteria in judging this drama.
Whether or not you want to give this drama a shot, happy drama watching!
Don't worry too much about how others want to rate it. It's a free world. That's the beauty of things. This drama is enjoying the highest rating and ranking number one here on MDL. What this shows is, the majority of the viewers enjoy the drama and give it high ratings. That's what matters. We cannot expect everyone to have the same tastes and minds as we do. Each person uses different criteria to judge a drama. Furthermore, disliking this drama doesn't necessary mean the viewers are bigots or homophobic. After all, despite how much we like this drama ourselves, we do find many flaws and holes with it. Just that for us, we can turn a blind eye, but not necessary for others.
Why is Wu Xian going to turn evil ?? And When does that happen. He shouldn't be a evil person.
No, Wei Wuxian is not an evil person. He doesn't turn evil per se. He only adopts the ghost craft when he loses his golden core (like an energy pack within him) that renders him not able to continue with his normal practice anymore. Despite using the ghost craft, he is still an upstanding and kind person.
(This post is intended as a joke and it isn't meant to be offensive to anyone. I posted it because it was interesting…
"... it goes on to show how differently people perceive things despite watching the same show." You're so right about this. Furthermore, how men perceive romance is so different from how women perceive it. And many men don't even like romance stories.
Interesting enough, this drama (The Smiling Proud Wanderer) also refers to certain items that are similar to The Untamed, such as the Gusu liquor, Tian Zi Xiao. It's a prominent item in this OST.
For all Wang Yibo's fans, I was checking out Wang Yibo's previous dramas. He was still an adolescence. So beautiful and cute. He's really funny, silly and playful. What an angel. Here's a clip of him taking shower: https://youtu.be/bayF5UfO3NE (No English subs) I just hope this doesn't destroy your image of Lan Zhan.
Another confusing part for me is the left arm. It appears only in the first episode. It stretches longer in the…
Actually I want to update my comment here - Xue Yang's Qianqun sleeve hasn't shield Lan Zhan's Yin metal detection, just that Wei Ying hasn't found the Yin metal on Xue Yang; he is not thorough enough, he doesn't search Xue Yang's non-existent pinkie.
So I should have said, Xue Yang's pinkie holder also acts as a Qianqun sleeve which I don't realize. Good work! @Kezia Nita Wijay.
I don't want to sound un-American and unpatriotic, but I'm feeling we're (I'm speaking of my own country) like the Wen Sect, and I'm Wen Qing, torn and helpless. I'm sorry for bringing politics onto this platform, but I can't help it when I see all these similarities of our current society as compared to the society in this drama. If I have offended anyone here, I apologize and I'm prepared to be admonished. On days like this, I really feel resigned to live in my little "Gusu" town. I need Wei Ying to come rescue me from all these chaos.

Wow! Really? So the Qianqun sleeve acts like a RFID blocking wallet, shielding the signal from Lan Zhan's Yin metal. This is extra ordinary! Did they give the hint somewhere in the episode that we have missed? Maybe I should re-watch that episode with slow motion. Thanks so much for solving this mystery. Thank you @Kezia Nita Wijaya. You guys are my Sherlock Holmes. :)
@AlexBBB, I apologize for the wrong information.
