Swords of Legend made him extremely popular. He was one of the earlier "liuliang/traffic stars" like what we see…
I guess 10 years ago, they didn't have so many young, good-looking and talented actors so he got through the crack. I also don't think highly of his acting. Watched a few of his dramas, all I deem meh.
hmm. is it good? the low score is discouraging me to start. thanks.
If you're used to Jin Yong (author) type of wuxia, yes, it's good. The story is compelling with a lot of martial arts. But the style is very different from today's ethereal looking actors and feel of wuxia. At 8.2, it's not considered low.
Extra episode, about 2 minutes long, basically a re-assembly of clips of moments when DFQC and XLH are together, with DFQC's dubbed voice narrating their life after marriage. Nothing special, and nothing we haven't seen (except one or two kissing pictures).
Boy! He sounds like the Jeffrey Epstein of China! I hope all the allegations are true and not something made up by the authority to take down a person.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I started this series before I came across Love Between Fairy and Devil. I watched it (Lost in Kunlun Mountains) because of Xu Kai. But within the first episode, I couldn't continue anymore because the CGIs are so fake, like graphics on the game station, with figures hopping around on rooftops. After Love Between Fairy and Devil, I was thinking of picking this series up again as there is nothing out there that piques my interest. After reading your review, I know I'm not going to like this drama. So drop. Thanks again for saving me time.
Technically, "Little Flower Demon" is the correct translation. (小花妖/Xiao Hua Yao).I have no comment on Da…
Yes, I agree with you, the terms have been translated literally. However, like @J Elliott says, they lose that endearing charm. In Chinese, Xiao Hua Yao sounds lighter than the meaning of Little flower Demon in English which is very dark. Likewise for Daqiang which doesn't mean a thing in English except just a name, but Big Qiang is a combination of English and Chinese (messed up :D), literally, it should be called Big Strong instead which sounds really weird. Yes, like you said, Daqiang should have been remained as Daqiang :D
Goddess Xi Yun remember everything. Also it was wrongly spreaded through the three realm that Dongfang Qingcang…
That means there are still unresolved plot holes by the end? That's one thing I cannot swallow. DFQC hasn't got his justice, and XLH hasn't acknowledged that it's not DFQC's fault for the demise of her family, and the Heavenly Emperor is let go with impunity.
Rong Hao was the one who killed XLH's family and her tribe. Why they keep blaming the killings on DFQC and even DFQC accepts that it was him? Has XLH ever known who the real culprit was? I don't remember seeing it in the drama that tells XLH DFQC didn't kill her family.
