Yes, I agree with you, the terms have been translated literally. However, like @J Elliott says, they lose that endearing charm. In Chinese, Xiao Hua Yao sounds lighter than the meaning of Little flower Demon in English which is very dark. Likewise for Daqiang which doesn't mean a thing in English except just a name, but Big Qiang is a combination of English and Chinese (messed up :D), literally, it should be called Big Strong instead which sounds really weird. Yes, like you said, Daqiang should have been remained as Daqiang :D

That means there are still unresolved plot holes by the end? That's one thing I cannot swallow. DFQC hasn't got his justice, and XLH hasn't acknowledged that it's not DFQC's fault for the demise of her family, and the Heavenly Emperor is let go with impunity.

So she knows DFQC didn't kill her family? Why doesn't she clarify it and let DFQC know so that he doesn't feel so guilty?

Rong Hao was the one who killed XLH's family and her tribe. Why they keep blaming the killings on DFQC and even DFQC accepts that it was him? Has XLH ever known who the real culprit was? I don't remember seeing it in the drama that tells XLH DFQC didn't kill her family.

Hahaha about the name. Chinese dramas seem to like boring, silly English titles with bad grammars XD.

For comparison, on Douban, IS is rated at 5.9 with 471,712 ratings and CLJ (LBFAD) at 7.8 with 458,563 ratings. Good job CLJ team! Personally, I love this drama more than IS. Dropped IS after 2 episodes :)

Nirvana in Fire (2015) got a 9.4 with 708,272 ratings. No idea if other dramas beat NIF because I watch only C-dramas :)

I watched both LLTG and IS. Love LLTG, but dropped IS after 2 episodes. Wasn’t sure about LBFAD, but within first episode, I fell in love with all the characters, and especially Dylan Wang’s acting. Haven’t seen such good acting for a long time. This devil god is the best devil ever as he is strong and yet has humanly weaknesses. To be honest, I didn’t care about Dylan Wang and Esther before; both not on my favorite actor list. But now, Dylan is on top of my list. BEST! MUST WATCH!

Hahaha, it’s really funny because at that time, he doesn’t even know what love is. He says it with a literal meaning.

The funny thing is, when he speaks these words, he has a different meaning: his own life depends on her life. That’s why it’s so funny when he says it.

In drama, DFQC is the boss; in real life or BTS, XLH is the boss. :D
