In this drama, Xu Kai's Bai Jue character is supposed to be cold and emotionless, and more warm and animated as Qing Mu, and I feel Xu Kai acts these 2 characters out pretty well. In Court Lady, his is simply hilarious and adorable, totally different from the cold characters here. So I think he's quite a good actor for different roles.

Definitely watch The Long Ballad. Everything was good until it came to the fighting. I have not liked Dilraba's overly girly characters in other dramas, but in The Long Ballad, she was strong and tough like a man which I liked very much.
As for Xu Kai, if you have not watched Court Lady, he's pretty good in there. I love his character there, but the love relationship was very frustrating to watch.
