It’s always interesting how 'after' a drama ends, people suddenly show up with the “this proves people choose beauty over brains/brawns” speeches about 'Pursuit of Jade'.
If that’s the only conclusion you reached, then maybe you missed the actual plot, the character motivations, and the themes the story was building. People didn’t enjoy it just because someone looked good on screen—some of us actually paid attention to the narrative too. Comparing it to 'The Prisoner of Beauty' and acting like anyone who liked this drama must have ignored the story is a bit of a stretch. Different dramas work in different ways, and audiences can enjoy more than one thing at the same time. And the whole “people only rated it high because of one arc or one actor” argument is just speculation. People are capable of liking a drama for multiple reasons—story, characters, emotional moments, or even just the overall experience. If you didn’t enjoy it, that’s completely fine. But reducing everyone else’s opinion to “they only care about beauty” says more about the assumption than about the viewers.
this drama more focused on emotional depth so it would have been great if some people were paying attention to it.
after completing I'm here to give my unwanted opinion.i have watched zlh 90% of dramas nd I'm only giving opinion…
i think the drama focused on emotional meaning as well as deep meaning behind lot of things. i feel like even without much of epic fighting scenes drama was soo good. haven't still moved from POJ genuinely, even behind the scenes this is the time i have seen ZHL most comfortable and undeniably they had best chemistry. from both of them this is the best drama. need to think twice to watch overdo bcuz POJ IS GOATED AND ICONIC. finger crossed hoping to see them on another drama
guys, apparently pursuit of jade budget was 400m [ $57,871,640.00] and their earning was 800m [$115,743,280.00] . it's crazy but it make sense. it's well deserved.
Its so sweet of txw to have shared zlh pictures on her weibo in her thank you post even when he was caught in…
I KNOW RIGHT THEY MENTION EACH OTHER IN A WAY THEY CAN ZHL INCLUDED 'HE FOUND RIGHT PERSON TO SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE' WHILE TIAN XI WEI GAVE US SUCH AN EYE CANDY. SHE WAS LIKE IDGF. I LOVE THEM MAN

NO, IT'S BEACUSE OF THIS I FOUND THIS ON MY IG Many think it was just a lucky moment, but Xie Zheng planned every detail! When they went to play the ribbons together, he had already guaranteed that his red ribbon was there, carrying a secret that ChangYu couldn’t read yet. 📜✨
1️⃣ The Secret on the Red Ribbon: Xie Zheng had already written the phrase ‘愿君同风’ (I want to walk with ‘Jun’ like the wind). 🌬️💎 The master detail? He used the term ‘Jun’ (君), which refers directly to her academic name: Shan Jun (山君). A promise that no matter where the wind takes them, he will be by her side. 🏹🌸
2️⃣ Why didn’t he let her move the blue ribbon? When ChangYu threw hers and fell far away, she wanted to catch her to try again and stay ‘close’ to his. But Xie Zheng stopped her at the time! 🚫 Why? If she got close to ‘adjust’ the tapes, she would read what he wrote before the time. He protected the secret of her name at all costs! 🤐❤️🔥
3️⃣ ‘It’s already tied’: For him, the ‘tie’ was not about the physical position of the tapes, but about the destination. The moment her ribbon stuck in the tree - no matter the distance - the prayer of both was accepted. Fate had already united them, and forcing the ribbons to stay together would be ‘cheating’ with luck. 🌳⚖️
A scene that shows that the Marquis does not give a point without a knot: he guaranteed their destiny, protected his romantic secret and even taught ChangYu to trust what the wind has in store for the two.🏹🌪️
