But honestly… you can’t just say it doesn’t deserve 9.1. Between the story, the twists, and the performances, the drama earned it—and out of respect for the cast who put their all into it, that score is well deserved.

Ah yes, the classic “people only liked Pursuit of Jade for the beauty over brains/brawns” takes—always popping up right after the drama ends. 😂
Sure, maybe some loved the Lian’an Village arc or a certain actor… but reducing the whole story to looks alone? Bold move. Guess character arcs, secrets, and plot twists just magically didn’t exist for some viewers.
And yes, episode 17 was apparently so unforgettable that you’ll never rewatch it… but hey, at least you got that hot take out.
