I was excited for this drama from the moment it was announced, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. While the pacing is quite fast—and I occasionally wished certain scenes had more room to breathe—I was never bored, as every episode kept me fully engaged.

Xiao Wuyi completely stole the show for me. His character arc, sacrifices, and emotional depth were incredibly moving, often bringing me to tears. Watching their relationship evolve into something so mature and rewarding by the finale was deeply satisfying. With compelling political intrigue, a beautiful OST, and natural, grounded performances from the entire cast, this was a fantastic viewing experience.

One thing I'd mention to new viewers is that I found the first few episodes a little confusing. It took me some time to understand the relationships between the characters and the political structure of the different factions. Thankfully, the character relationship charts and a few Reddit discussions helped me connect all the pieces. Once I understood who everyone was and what was going on politically, the drama became so much more enjoyable.

I should've watched Falling Into Your Smile much earlier! I didn't come for the esports, but I ended up loving every match. The team dynamics were wholesome, the romance gave me butterflies, and the finals had me completely on the edge of my seat. Such a heartwarming drama from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorites! ❤️

This drama was a breath of fresh air after months of watching costume dramas. The relationship between the leads is definitely a slow burn, but it was incredibly enjoyable to watch them bicker, keep score, and see Li Yi Fei guide Qian Fei through their shared journey.

You might want to give it a try. It is a wonderful drama featuring a mature relationship between the leads, and it avoids the excessive tragedy and character deaths.

I really enjoy Hou Ming Hao's work and am looking forward to this drama, but I truly hope Esther Yu avoids using the baby voice she's known for in this role. I’m crossing my fingers that she portrays He Pan with more depth, and aside from that concern, I'm very excited to see this pairing!

I feel like this is a xianxia where the friends of the leads do not end up dying. In most xianxia's, the supporting leads or sometimes even the leads end up dying.

True after losing an arm Jin Lun should have just ignored her and went up the mountain.

A Sheng got her bitter ending for what she did. She was too opportunistic but maybe her character is justified due to her cruel childhood experiences.

It would have been better if they showed what happened to Lu QianQiao during that one year after he forgot his memories.

I liked how they gave two endings, one where Duan Xu joins Si Mu's spirit world and the extra episode where Si Mu joins Duan Xu's mortal world.

I agree. Fan Yue’s death felt repetitive to me. After he lost the last star, it felt like his individual arc was already over. After that point, it felt like his character was mainly there to help complete their shared story and give Bai Shuo her ending.

Title Kill Me Love Me Spoiler
The latter part of the story feels unnecessarily dragged, making their relationship more painful and bittersweet than needed. A sad ending can be powerful, but here it feels deliberately prolonged to maximise suffering.
