A Sheng got her bitter ending for what she did. She was too opportunistic but maybe her character is justified due to her cruel childhood experiences.

It would have been better if they showed what happened to Lu QianQiao during that one year after he forgot his memories.

I liked how they gave two endings, one where Duan Xu joins Si Mu's spirit world and the extra episode where Si Mu joins Duan Xu's mortal world.

I agree. Fan Yue’s death felt repetitive to me. After he lost the last star, it felt like his individual arc was already over. After that point, it felt like his character was mainly there to help complete their shared story and give Bai Shuo her ending.

The latter part of the story feels unnecessarily dragged, making their relationship more painful and bittersweet than needed. A sad ending can be powerful, but here it feels deliberately prolonged to maximise suffering.

It feels weird to see concubine Yan developing feelings for the Emperor of Yan.

One word- Unconventional.

The pacing is so slow. I almost dropped it ,around episode 10 but I am glad i didn't, the last few episodes were worth it!

Wen Zheng Rong's acting is phenomenal. I have no words to describe how well she acted out the desperation to save her child, who is labelled evil.

I also honestly loved Love in the Clouds more than this one. This drama was good too, but a few things left me slightly disappointed. Love in the Clouds, on the other hand, felt more unique and emotionally gripping for me. The reason I kept watching this drama was the female lead’s initial character—it really drew me into her story. But, like many others, I kept thinking when we’d get to see that side of her again.
