The introduction of all the characters were dragged on for too long but the movie got slightly better after the marathon was announced. The action scenes seemed way too sloppy for samurais but maybe because they were weakened samurais due to peace. And Takeru was a treat as usual.

Haven't read the manga but I can say they probably just picked up the main scenes and put them in the movie, so it felt way too rushed. Only completely watched it for Ryo.
