A Boring Story and Incomprehensible Reincarnation

I started watching it because I like MosBank, so I was looking forward to it. At first, the way the two met was interesting, but as the story progressed, it became dull.
The plot was extremely cliché, and the added element of past life memories felt like it was just tacked on.

It seemed like the past life memories were completely unnecessary.
Unlike The Sign, where past lives affect the present, I couldn’t understand why that element was included here.
Everything wraps up nicely in the end, but the resolution is so anticlimactic that it’s hard to grasp its meaning.

Also, I’m not sure if this is unique to Thai culture, but the friends are overly meddlesome.
They’re all way too worried. Do people really take time off from their internships to check on a friend just because they haven’t been able to contact them for a little while? I can’t understand it.

Moreover, romantic relationships develop between interns and the CEO or between interns and their supervisors—relationships that are ethically unacceptable in real life.
At the very least, I would have liked to see them wait to develop the romance officially until after the internship, or even if they’re mutually interested, to keep it hidden until they can officially date.
The mixing of personal and professional matters is too much, and the lack of compliance is appalling.

I wouldn’t want to work at a company like this, but since Thai dramas often depict companies this way, it might actually be normal…

A Work with No Value Other Than Watching the Perfect Chemistry Between the Two

Honestly, this drama holds no value other than watching the perfect chemistry between Fort and Peat. Their chemistry is, of course, exceptional, and the NC scenes and kiss scenes clearly show how much they genuinely desire each other, making for a wonderful experience. The two actors did an excellent job.

However, the storyline is incredibly cheap. The depiction of significant childhood trauma is a pattern the writer tends to favor, but honestly, they seem to treat trauma lightly. In the drama, overcoming trauma happens all too easily, as if it's wiped away in an instant. This is simply unrealistic. Even if Tongrak doesn't want to be with Mahasamut because he doesn’t believe in love, I don't understand why this drags on for ten episodes, especially when it's clear from the beginning that they like each other. It makes no sense.

I like the two leads, and I was looking forward to the show because the beginning of the first episode was really interesting. But from around episode 4, it just kept repeating the "Do I like them? Do I not?" scenario, wasting time on meaningless mind games.

Furthermore, the relationship between the side couple Vivi and Khaimuk also bothered me, as it depicted using one's position to manipulate and control the other to get their attention.

Would I recommend it? No. But if you want to see the passionate scenes between Fort and Peat, then go ahead and watch it.

Disappointing Remake

I am a fan of the original manga. I also watched the Japanese drama. Both were entertaining, so when I heard it was being remade in Thailand, I was really looking forward to it, especially since it would feature my favorite duo, Gemini and Fourth! I thought these two would be a perfect fit for "My Love Mix-Up!".

However, after watching this drama, I regret to say that it didn’t suit them at all. In fact, the characters didn’t match them, which was quite surprising.

I understand that since it's based on a manga, the overall acting tends to be exaggerated, but Atom was overly exaggerated, and Kottap was completely unreadable. While Gemini and Fourth are known for their high acting skills, these roles just didn’t fit them at all.

That being said, Madmee and Half were amazing! Especially Madmee!!! She truly shone with a refreshing vibrance like a piece of fruit. She was perfect for her role!

The storyline of the drama followed the original work, but there were some modifications here and there. Since it seemed like the manga was simply adapted into a drama, the transition of Atom's feelings, from a misunderstanding to truly falling in love with Kottap, as well as Kottap, who didn’t know love, gradually falling for Atom, was portrayed too superficially. The drama needed to delve deeper into these parts to convincingly show why the two really fell in love.

For example, even if they fell in love easily, it would have been better if there were more scenes showing them deepening their bond as lovers afterward. The drama felt shallow, like a simple adaptation of the manga, and overall, it was disappointing.

I hope Gemini and Fourth will appear in an original Thai production rather than a remake. I still want to see more of them and their various performances.

Who is Really at Fault?

Does this drama's production company have a penchant for portraying women as the worst characters? In their previous work, "BlueBoys," the women who appeared were depicted as truly unpleasant individuals. And now, it’s happening again.

The real culprit is the man who deceives a woman, pretending to be in love and even getting engaged, while hiding his true feelings. However, the drama doesn’t portray this aspect, so the woman appears merely as a villain.

The chemistry between the two leads isn’t particularly strong, and all the characters seem selfish. But I think the drama does a good job of depicting the struggles of being gay and the realities in Korea. Despite being a short script with just four episodes of 10 minutes each, the story is well-structured and cohesive.

An Unexpected Ending

This series consists of eight 10-minute episodes, totaling only 80 minutes. However, considering it as an 80-minute movie, the screenplay could have been much better.

First of all, the screenplay was terrible. We never understand why the two characters fall in love so deeply. What was the reason for abandoning a 500-year life just to protect someone? There are also many gaps and lack of explanations throughout the story. The true identity of the university president is unclear. We don’t understand why the brother immediately recognizes the vampire and why Minhyung tells him, “You are a pure human.” The brother’s existence is puzzling and seems unnecessary. Despite his overprotectiveness, he continues to let his brother attend university even after realizing his life is threatened by a vampire. If I were in his shoes, I would have had him take a leave of absence or drop out of university.

Although I generally prefer happy endings, I liked that this series didn’t end happily. I thought that in the final scene, something miraculous would happen, and Minhyung wouldn’t die, leading to a happy ending for both characters. However, that didn't happen. It was a sad but satisfying ending, and I really appreciated that.

The Best Bromance Drama Ever

This drama was so incredibly captivating that I found myself immediately rewatching it from the beginning right after finishing it.
I loved it so much that I couldn’t even bring myself to write a review at first.
But I really want to share how amazing this drama is with those who haven’t seen it yet, so I’m writing this review now.

The story is based on the Japanese manga "Hikaru no Go." I am also a fan of the original manga.
The manga itself is wonderful and very entertaining. Even though it has been more than 20 years since the manga finished its serialization, there are still many fans of this work in Japan.
The anime remains popular as well.
I want to extend the highest praise to the director, scriptwriter, production staff, and above all, the actors who managed to perfectly adapt this wonderful work into a 36-episode drama without losing any of its charm.

Hu Xianxu, who played Shi Guang, was particularly outstanding.
This was the first time I saw his acting, but I instantly became a huge fan. He embodied "Shi Guang" so perfectly.
He was truly amazing. His performance was so remarkable that I couldn’t believe there was such a talented actor in China.
What I particularly loved was how Shi Guang wasn’t portrayed as a cool character at all. Hu Xianxu didn’t try to make himself look cool in the slightest, and that’s what made his performance so fantastic.
Even though he is actually a very handsome actor, when he played the clumsy and lazy Shi Guang, he truly became the character. He was such an adorable, endearing character that you couldn’t help but love him.

And Hao Fushen, who played Yu Liang, was also amazing.
He perfectly captured Yu Liang's obsession, passion, and competitive spirit towards Shi Guang, while showing a humble and modest attitude outside of playing Go.
He portrayed a determined young man who constantly strives for greatness, living in the shadow of his father, a top figure in the Chinese Go world.

Zhang Chao, who played Chu Ying, delivered an extraordinary performance as a character that transcends humanity—neither a person, a god, nor a ghost, but the unique role of Chu Ying. His reactions to the modern world and his gradual adaptation were incredibly charming.
The relationship between him and Shi Guang, which was like that of a master and disciple, a family, brothers, and close friends, was truly wonderful.

As a fan of BL and bromance, I especially loved the relationship between Shi Guang and Yu Liang.
These two characters are each other’s greatest rivals and confidants in life.
Their personalities and lifestyles are completely different, so they probably wouldn’t have met or become friends without Go.
However, Go binds their destinies together, creating an unbreakable bond and a world that belongs to them alone.
It’s clear that Shi Guang and Yu Liang will continue to shine as two stars in the Chinese Go world for years to come.

I watched this drama without knowing the rules of Go, but I was so determined to understand it that I bought a "Go set" and a "Beginner’s Guide to Go." I’m now studying Go because of this drama. That’s how much it captivated me.
I’m so glad I found this drama. It has become a work that I’ll rewatch countless times throughout my life.

High-Quality Bromance

In many bromance series, there is often a forced romantic subplot with a female character, but this drama executed it well without that distraction.

The protagonists, Zheng Ren and Su Yun, have no unnecessary romantic entanglements. In fact, they only have eyes for each other, focusing solely on improving themselves together. Although some female characters develop a crush on them, it goes completely unnoticed and unreciprocated.

The drama is packed with hospital management, surgeries, and interactions with patients, leaving no room for romance. This allows viewers to fully enjoy the bromance.

I particularly liked Su Yun's character in this drama. Having a genius like Zheng Ren in front of him, in many typical stories, one might expect Su Yun to be jealous or try to undermine him. However, Su Yun doesn't do that. Instead, he understands how much effort Zheng Ren has put into achieving his skills and strives daily to catch up with him. They are rivals, but also absolute friends. It’s a truly wonderful relationship.

Zheng Ren's character is insensitive to people's emotions and struggles with communication, which likely helped avoid censorship. There were moments where it seemed like Su Yun and Zheng Ren might kiss... but of course, they don't. Nonetheless, the bromance is so intense that fans of bromance will highly enjoy it.

The drama's storyline is very convenient. Zheng Ren rarely fails, and not many people die. Almost everything goes smoothly. While it could have been a bit more complex, the bromance is so superb that it makes the drama excellent overall.

The Best Friendship and Bromance

I am a big fan of the drama 'Hikaru no Go,' and it was through that show that I became a fan of Hao Fushen's acting. Watching this current drama as well, he portrays friendship and obsession incredibly well. Initially, this drama was rumored to have bromance elements, but since it is a school youth drama, there was a possibility of a romantic element developing between the two main characters, which I think worried viewers who enjoy bromance.

However, having watched it to the final episode, I want to assure everyone that there are no romantic elements, so you can watch it without concern. The trio of one girl and two boys is always together. The girl initially has a crush on one of the boys, but this gradually turns into a deep friendship. Ultimately, they form a solid bond that seems like it will last a lifetime as they pursue their goals.

The bromance is very compelling. In the end, the two main boys start living together. It's perfect. They will never be separated. It may seem that the girl was added between them to avoid censorship, but it was very satisfying to watch her overcome her negative and weak-willed personality, become more assertive, and work towards achieving her own dreams.

Since this is a school youth drama, there are many exaggerated moments, but that’s what youth is all about. I highly recommend this drama not only to fans of bromance and BL but also to those who enjoy youth dramas.

The Best Chemistry, No Matter What

This drama starts off with an incredibly entertaining first episode. The chemistry between the lead actors, Great and Inn, is fantastic.

The storyline is somewhat predictable from the beginning and doesn't have dramatic twists that deeply move the audience. However, this is because the two main characters make an effort to have proper conversations and genuinely understand each other.

I dislike the common trope in BL dramas where misunderstandings occur because one character doesn't listen to the other. It's unnatural. Often, this behavior is used to force drama into the story, but viewers aren't foolish. Therefore, I appreciated that, although there are a few quarrels between the leads, they resolve them quickly by explaining things properly.

In the end, everything wraps up a bit too conveniently, and a little more complexity would have been nice.

Nonetheless, pairing Great and Inn together is already a masterpiece. If you want to see the best chemistry, you should watch it right away.

A page of youth

I love coming-of-age BL stories, and this drama was a sparkling encapsulation of that youthful brilliance.

The entire cast was fantastic, and out of all the roles played by Pond and Phuwin, I liked their characters, Phum and Peem, in this drama the most. The other cast members were also wonderful, and there were no unpleasant characters or events. In other words, nothing really happens. For 16 episodes, the same kind of content continues. There is nothing dramatic. Just daily university tasks, friendships, and life.

Some people might find this uneventful and monotonous story unsatisfying, but I found it very realistic and loved it for that. Life isn't always filled with dramatic events. The transition from friendship to love, from friends to lovers, is portrayed very carefully. Unlike typical Thai BL dramas, there is no hellish event before the final episode. It’s consistently safe.

I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel the romance and friendship of university students in a realistic way.

An Interesting Horror Mystery!

I decided to watch this movie because Up and Phuwin were in it.

The story begins with Phuwin's character, Term, arriving on an island to look for his brother, Tee, who has become a monk. Upon arriving, Term is told by the monks that Tee killed the abbot and fled. Unconvinced that his brother could do such a thing, Term decides to investigate the island.

Meanwhile, Up's character, Tae, is an autistic and pure-hearted young man living at the island's temple. He helps out at the temple and the fishing port. Term befriends Tae, and together they investigate the temple. The island has a strong faith in a statue called the god Phor Pu, which is enshrined in the temple. There is also a custom on the island of placing a part of a deceased person's ashes into a clay statue called Hun Payont. When Term finds the villagers' fanatical belief strange and breaks a part of the statue, terrifying events start to occur one after another.

The first half of the story isn't that scary, and it’s somewhat unclear what’s happening. Several similar events repeat themselves. Just when you think the movie is only trying to startle the audience, the twist at the end surprises you. The story's value emerges when you see the ending.

The performances of Up and Phuwin were as excellent as expected. Up's acting, in particular, was outstanding. Additionally, Emi, who played Mina, was fantastic. I didn't realize she was on the movie poster! Her portrayal of a woman possessed by a curse was truly eye-catching.

Watching the movie a second time, with the knowledge of what happens, will likely be more enjoyable than the first viewing. I plan to watch it again.

Not Just Cute! A Deep Story.

While it appears to be a sweet, fluffy love story like a sugar confection, this work challenges viewers to think about the relationship between idols and romance. The storyline has some parts that are hard to agree with or feel forced, but overall, it was well done.

Firstly, the chemistry between Sea and Keen was fantastic. Their acting is still developing, but they put in maximum effort and fully embraced their roles. And they are incredibly, incredibly, incredibly cute! Their romantic scenes are so sweet and fresh that they make you blush. I also loved watching them work towards their dreams and grow together.
