Dang it Wang Duo, you've done it again - stealing the show with your presence. It's been 7 years since your incredible and unforgettable perfomance in 'Bloody Romance' where you brought the morally grey character of 'Gong Zhi' to life, the 'anti-hero/villain' that we all fell for - haven't felt so much for a 2ML since then.
I thought for sure you would have been catapulted to ML immediately after wowing everyone with your potrayal of Gong Zhi, but instead you fell off the cdrama radar for 5 long years.
So good to see you back in cdrama world again. Your Bing Zhu is the most relatable and interesting character in 'The Unclouded Soul'.
Wow! What a riveting first episode! Though Hou Ming Hao looks like he could have stepped off the set of either Fangs of Fortune or Love in the Clouds here (or even his guest appearance in Love Pavilion).
Was pleasantly surprised by Zhao Liying's guest appearance, wasn't expected to see her there.
Most of Bai Jingting's characters are green flags honestly!
Oh yes! You are absolutely right, whether it was his character in 'The Whirlwind Girl', 'You Are My Hero,' 'New Life Begins', 'Reset', 'Destined', and more recently 'Mobius' - they were all green flag characters!
A few have already mentioned in the comments below, but Li Xian's character (Xie Zhi Yao) in 'Meet Yourself' is one of the greenest flag characters.
Also, Bai Jingting's Song Yan from 'The First Frost' is another green flag missing from the list.
An honorary mention for green flag ML: Daniel Wu's Au Hoi Man in 'Love Undercover' - not a drama, but my comfort feel-good HK movie (2002) when I just want to turn off my brain and de-stress.
He's grown up so much since Joy of Life and Sword Snow Stride! His scenes with Wu Zhu and his shifu were some of my favourite scenes in JOL.
Watching him in Shine on Me right now - features are the same, just a lot taller and a much deeper voice. He might just be the next Leo Wu (Wu Lei) - going from child actor to charismatic ML in the future.
For real! I swore I thought she was Zhou Yutong until I looked at the cast list. Doppelgangers for sure, despite a nine-year (10-year? baidu shows 10-years) age gap~
It's been a quiet year for Justin; he's been working non-stop since 2018 and was either a regular or a guest on so many variety shows. Hope he's ok and that he's having a proper rest during this downtime and we'll get to see more of him in 2026.
So much adorable sweet fluff~! Loving this, just wish the episodes were longer. But seriously, this drama brings out the (many years past) teenager in me...I literally went 'kyahhhh!' watching episode 5 preview.
Why did the Prince of Langya choose to die in the end? Link: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/757799-an-he-chuan/145934-blood-river-background-info-from-novel-universe-of-the-blood-of-youth-dashing-youth
To prevent the eunuchs from causing disorder and chaos in Tianqi - there was still a scroll out there that had Prince of Langya's name that shows that the previous emperor had selected him as his heir to the throne.
Already as it is, it didn't help that most people supported him to become emperor despite him not wanting to be emperor.
