Same, he was my favorite character in the book (such a steal scener even though he only had a smattering of appearances) so I was really looking forward to his drama appearance - short but piqued interest for sure. Well done drama!
I like this ML , dont remember seeing him in any of the dramas i watched FL and ML has a great chemistry and love…
Yes, Bi Wen Jun and Li YiTong were adorably fluffy in Warm on a Cold Night. Her howling like a wolf by the prison remains one of the funniest Cdrama scenes ever.
He also had sizzling off the chart chemistry with Jiang Pei Yao in I am Nobody. Sad they didn't return for season 2, but hopeful they'll be back for season 3. đ€
Also recommend Sweet Teeth, another sweet fluffy drama.

Can we please ban Shen Li already? She's such a troll and always bashing other c-actresses who aren't ZLY once they become prominent because of hit drama.
I've been waiting for a remake of the Liao Zhai stories for years - even decades now! I know there's been a few mainland China adaptations in the early 2000's but the last one I watched was the TVB version 'Dark Tales' in the late 90's (at the height of TVB's popularity).
There was a kiss but a dead fish it came out to be lol.
It's a Ren Jialun / Ren Guochao drama - to have a kiss or any skinship in his dramas is already something. Though sometimes having no kisses in his dramas end up working out (e.g. One and Only).
Three things he is known for: 1) Professional table tennis player / table tennis prodigy 2) His acting 3) His non-existent kisses / intimate skinship with female leads 4) 'Biggest failure amongst celebrities whoâve changed their names'. Even as far as in Tibet, you can hear his fans calling him by his real name 'Guochao' instead of his stage name 'Ren Jialun' - https://www.facebook.com/dramapotatoe/videos/694026874803486/ (at the 0:06 mark, he says, 'Omg, even over here I can't get away from 'Guochao''

This is good news as this has been the most anticipated time travelling drama at the top of my to-watch list - also, it's Ni Ni - enough said. Sad to see Deng Lun replaced but this had to be done after how many years this has been sitting on the shelf. Maybe now the investors can finally get some of their money back.
I was just thinking the same thing. I even went on Baidu to see if his TV appearances included his role as Ji Chongyi in Si Jin and as of this moment, it doesn't.
First of all the MJTY reference in episode one had me rolling; the fact that thatâs how she described him basically…
I was like, 'yea I saw what she did there' when she mentioned he looked like Gong Ziyu~ Also agree, I'm hoping for this to be a wholesome romance and I'm enjoying the he fell in love trope. He seems like a puppy dog eagerly waiting to see her again after the first encounter.
I couldn't bring myself to watch the 2nd and 3rd couple. Skim through the 1st couple, watched the 4th couple,…
You're not the only one, I made a comment on his actor profile back when 'The Double' was airing that Liang Yong Qi looks like a mix between Zhu Yi Long and Wang Anyu~ The resemblance is uncanny, isn't it? :)
He also had sizzling off the chart chemistry with Jiang Pei Yao in I am Nobody. Sad they didn't return for season 2, but hopeful they'll be back for season 3. đ€

He is the ancestor of the mysterious Wang Clan as opposed to our familiar Zhang Clan.
There's no mention of Zhang Qi Ling or any members of the Zhang Clan in the cast list.
