4 episodes in...love the acting and bond between them, but I think the pacing or tone is just not enthralling enough. I'm glad it's only 12 episodes as that should be more than enough
It doesnβt get better. They forget about the comedy, and the plot makes no sense. It feels like a completely…
That's a shame because I also thought it could have been a nice romcom and comedy like Mr Queen. But as you said I've also felt that they do less comedy as it goes on. I don't even mind time travel, but I'm against all the various past lives tropes that this is trying to go ahead with. I'm also just not feeling it with the villain cousin. I might watch Ep 6 and then drop if I still don't love it.
Am I missing something? I'm on Ep 5 and just not feeling enthusiastic to carry on. The starting was great and I enjoyed the comedy, but tbh the plot isn't that great and I can see it becoming predictable π
And so what? That's just him he a baddie his girlfriend is huge problem she started this problem with him what…
I think you must have missed the tag saying hidden agenda and dubious consent π¬ because both were heavily featured in this drama. Yes Wu Suwei didn't start out perfect but neither was Chi Cheng.
First half is incredible. The sheer atmosphere was intoxicating to me, the way the ML "pursued" the FL…
I agree about the second half, especially by the last several episodes because it just felt like it dragged. Surely we didn't need to see EVERY business decision made for the club or everything ML and FL did without each other. I was fast forwading a few minutes by those points.
I also liked her cousin (but I have a huge bias for Wang Xingyue so π) and all her close family were also done very believably.
Finally finished it on my second attempt - It is a nice drama but I just thought it was too long. The plot is very straight forward and I didn't think it needed 30 episodes. It could have just as easily been done in around 24 episodes π¬. Particularly the second half for the China plot line, most of Ep 25-29 could have been cut. I gave it a 7/10 because I still thought it was nice/comforting and the wintery vibes in the first half was lovely, but there were too many points in the drama that felt unnecessary (like dragging out their associations with all the side characters and the snooker business)
Besides that the OST song Love and Shine is one of my favourites on my Cdrama playlist β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
NoNo misunderstanding Very quick mother refusal but, the big brother likes the male lead sooo much that he will…
No I fully get your meaning! I just can't help it if you're highly insulting towards the notion of sexual abuse, harresment and assault. It was your own choice to say things like that, so don't blame others for calling you out?
I m hoping this is a ML falls first n chases/proposes first kinda story Am I Right ??
Actually I never thought she was strongly infatuated with him until he made her admit feelings. If she was then it was completely unknowingly. Everytime they interacted in the beginning (the lunches she felt forced into, the baby shower, etc) were because she thought she had to follow his orders, and because she didn't want to let his sister down (infact she cared more about his sister than she did for him for the whole first part) . I don't think it's that she didn't expect him to love her, but that she didn't have any feelings for him at all at that point. Whereas he was definitely infatuated with her because he was secretly watching her, and always finding ways to make her spend time with him.

Disliking a drama is fine and plenty of people disliked The First Frost, just as you said because the stalking got too much. I myself thought it was just average too. But to call it trash just because you did not like it, and did not understand the mature themes shows a lack of understanding on *your* part. Sexual abuse and harresment is common, yes. It's weird you don't believe that. Sexual abuse victims may also have issues with trust in a relationship. It doesn't mean they are any less 'adult' than people who have healthy communication in a relationship. You downplaying the entire aspect of Wen Yifan being abused makes you seem heavily insensitive and non-empathetic.
Just saw that this drama and Love Has Fireworks are releasing one day apart. PLS SLOW DOWN I'M WAY BEHIND AT THIS PACE. The First Jasmine also released not too long ago π
Definitely a very strange drama. Found this to be the strangest drama I've ever watched lol. Not sure what it was trying to be, I liked the dark atmospeheric vibes but sometimes the writing dropped to the point it felt like a comedy?
Watched a few episodes of this previously but realised it's only hyped up by Viki and Instagram reels. I don't know why but it feels like one of those weird short Cdramas lol
i have nothing against this actress she is wonderful. but i think they should have casted a younger actress since…
She is meant to have been married for some time though. She is not meant to be a too-young girl or it would look unrealistic. I agree that she didn't look 18-19 and we can only assume everyone was too blind/stupid to see through it π€£
A "fast-paced" revenge drama features tight, plot-driven storytelling that rapidly moves from betrayal…
Depends how fast or slow it feels to the individual then. Personally I thought the mad plotting, revenge and politics moves quite fast in this drama. It's one of the Cdramas that moves the fastest in this regard. Many things were always going on with multiple characters and side plots. I think that's why it never felt slow even if certain things never happened till later on in the drama.
Today BTS, Rather than focusing on how romantic it would look on screen, ChengLei's main concern was figuring…
He always seems like such a gentleman β€οΈ . He became one of my favourites last year and the more I see of him the more I can't get over him πππ
It kind of does, but between all the romance and nothing-ness, you don't feel it's important anymore.
It's why I nicknamed this one Romance of Female General lol. Her love story is more of the main focus. Not that ai'm complaining, but just the way it's portrayed you wouldn't think that
Okay, so for me, the plot was not interesting at first, but the chemistry between MLs kept me going (or maybe…
I'm on Ep 29 and I feel the same way about the plot. Couldn't care about it at all. I'm really only slogging through it for the leads as they are really cute together (Gong Jun's character flirting since the beginning has helped too, iykyk) and with the addition of 'their child' Chengling too. But I know it's really only the last few episodes which get more intense. So I'm nearly there, it's just felt like it's taken forever π«
Only a year later did I realise Meng Xi Bai was Tian Xu Ning! I must have been blind... Tbf I wasn't into the second couple as much and only fell for him when I watched his BL drama Revenged Love π
I also liked her cousin (but I have a huge bias for Wang Xingyue so π) and all her close family were also done very believably.
