That's the main difference though I feel - it makes sense why a deep, fantastically written drama can maintain it's 9+ rating. Even over 10 years.

But I can't even see why this drama still has a 9 rating even after 2 years. There have been many better dramas since then too. But as you say the score for LR will likely drop over some more years. 💯 % it's going to be that kind of drama that ages badly over time.

8 episodes would have been perfect for a short drama and just to end it there with Namiki staying in Japan with Yae regardless if she remembered him or not. But since they added the abroad arc they should have gone all the way. It was too rushed for just Ep 9, they should have had a 10th or even 11th episode so then reuniting made sense. Their reunion in Ep 9 was barely even a reunion because it ended just when they met again. Just my opinion, I generally agree that the ending was poorly executed too.

I also really liked it! Watched it a few months ago and might rewatch it at some point in the future. It's a lovely drama, though not perfect (the ending could have been better written IMO) it is still very watchable. I rated it 9/10

I'm talking about this drama Boss and Me. That is indeed how he pursues her, he starts pursuing her very early into the drama probably by Ep 3. He was already interested in her and soon after he was inviting her to eat with him even when she never wanted to.

She never actually wanted to be with him for a long time into the drama because of other things going on

It was a happy ending, but it was very abrupt and they squeezed what could have been 1-2 episodes more into barely the last 10 minutes. The whole drama was an extreme slowburn so it needed a satisfying ending. But it didn't have that. Of course not spoiling it directly, just laying out the problems with the pacing of the end.

I would still say it was worth the watch, some might not mind the abrupt ending as long as it has a HEA. It just depends on yourself I suppose. You might find other things to love about it - the leads do very well and so do the younger actors playing them in the past timeline.

Not watched any of her other dramas yet. But I have heard lots about how Legend of Shen Li and Story of Minglan are great dramas. They are both historicals

That's not what happened. He chased her for a long time and she never wanted much to do with him because he was her boss, and also a cold and intimidating man.

I agree, and this drama isn't one to rate very seriously. There's lots of issues with it having outdated tropes from 2014, but it is still very entertaining. I watched it last year and even rewatched it a couple of times for a comfort watch.

We don't know at the moment. She doesn't often do dramas - the last time she was the main lead in a drama before WLGYT last year was in 2019. She has a lot of other things she does so I think she only does a drama when it seems great to her.

Finally finished it - just an okay drama. I actually didn't dislike it, but didn't love it either. I didn't really warm up to ML's character and didn't like much of the drama's pacing, but on the other hand there's loads to admire about it as well. Rated it an 8.

So it's like another drama like Immortality? BL drama that's filmed and everything but not passing the censorship. Such a shame, I wonder how many dramas they have filmed of this genre that can't be released!

It helped that the actors in The Untamed had very natural chemistry. To the point you could tell they even had chemistry when the cameras weren't rolling.

Also in the original Untamed novels they weren't censored at all. Only the drama had to go that far, it just seems Word of Honour passed censorship for whatever reason.

Same I was low key panicking when I saw it's not on any of the other streaming sites even outside of Netflix. But no worries, the whole drama is actually on YouTube too. A huge relief as I was starting to plan about binging it in possibly 4 days 🤣🤣

I think PoJ was clearly meant to be more female centric from the start. There's also a lot being said that they had to downplay his character because he was originally more red flagged in the novel. And they didn't want that kind of lead for PoJ (as opposed to how Deng Kai played a completely unhinged lover as 2ML). Of course not all dramas go the same route, some will be more about both the leads, others more female centric.

That's just crazy because 7 isn't even a bad rating on here. 7 is considered an average rating, I give a 7 to many dramas if I considered it to be just decent/okay too. Idk why so many of the Lovely Runner fans act like it can only be given a superb 9+ rating and then bash others who do not do so!
