In Ah and Ki Jun had strong chemistry going on for me in the beginning, but once her past with Jae Yeol was revealed, I feel that her chemistry with Jae Yeol overshadowed it a little, albeit this messed up relationship between them now. I hope Shin Hae Sun and Kim Jae Uck get to play a couple in a different drama as the main main leads!
Back to this drama, I really like Ki Jun's confident and honest approach. He's the opposite of In Ah, and helps In Ah learn to let light into her life. Jae Yeol, on the other hand, is just like In Ah. They both had lots of emotional baggage, and both failed to recover from it and eventually let it ruin their relationship instead.
In Ah is lucky to have met Ki Jun, but Jae Yeol is probably gonna be stuck there for a while. I would honestly HATE to see him pair up with the secretary because she's sticking her nose too much in his business and constantly bringing up how she likes him, like she's guilt tripping him or something. She should move on as well. Stop being so hung up on a married man who's also a mess himself. And she's a pot for calling out Jae Yeol for being hung up on his ex.... π
Anyway, I think In Ah and Jae Yeol's relationship could've worked out if they actually fought for each other. But they didn't, so now we're here. To be honest, I'm not liking how they're revealing Jae Yeol to be this obsessed ex now (it's a pain to watch, ugh), but I hope he gets away from the toxic marriage, the toxic father and brother, his obsessed secretary, and focuses on healing himself.
Finally watched the final two episodes, and I really love how it ended. No loose ends! Especially throughout the final episode, it was so moving, and the 2nd half got me smiling so much I don't think I stopped until the ending credits rolled. First time watching BWS as the main lead, and I'm impressed with his acting here. IU is amazing as always. The supporting characters all did an awesome job too. So happy to have had this drama fill my weekends. I have nothing bad to say about this drama. I enjoyed it so much! π§‘π§‘π§‘
I've a question, was the fire that killed ML's bro (former king) Intentionally by ML's sis in law or was that…
I think the fire started as an accident, but what the sis-in-law said to the king about him being dead would be better... probably triggered him into thinking he should really just die in the fire, so it might have been more like a su*cide. That's the feeling I got from them, but I could be interpreting it wrongly.
Finally gonna binge the last two episodes now, and I have to say, I love the subtle change in Queen Mother's expressions. Before, you can tell that she's just pretending to look concerned, but in Ep11 when she was asking Hui Ju about Yi An, her expression and gaze softened so much compared to the past, and you can feel that she doesn't have her spikes up anymore. Such amazing acting from Gong Seung Yeon! β€
Ahhhh I wish we'd get more episodes!!! How did 2 episodes finish so quickly??
Also wondering how things went down back in the past. If the king had told Dan Shim to be his brother's lover, then why didn't Dan Shim be wary of the king when she married him. Or maybe she did. I need to know more!
Really love seeing Dan Shim and Se Gye together. It's gonna be really interesting to see how he courts her πππ I foresee Se Gye getting many bad ideas from his secretary. We also need to see the secretary's cat!!!!! I hope the cute doggy comes back too. When the doggy followed her home and she thought it was someone in the shadows, I actually wondered if the dog could shapeshift into a human and become a dog hahahaha but I don't think this show contains fantasy elements to that extent. But I'm feeling the dog's spirit could also be the same dog from the past. I miss the doggy already. It was so heartbreaking when Dan Shim thought back on her life and broke down in tears and ended up breaking the dog house. It was so cute though T^T
And grandma!!! I knew it was only a matter of time for her to realize Dan Shim isn't Seo Ri. Didn't expect it to happen so soon though. And that "accident" she mentioned made me wonder if Seo Ri's body had been possessed by Dan Shim before in the past, or maybe by someone else.
I'm so glad this drama has 14 episodes because it feels like there's gonna be a lot to unfold. Can't wait for episode 5 already!!!
The first two episodes were such a joy to watch!!! I was hoping it'd never end!! Absolutely in love with our chaotic…
Even though Se-gye seems to be both the same person in the past and the present, it still wouldn't be the same if Dan-sim goes back and meets him again. She may have fallen in love at first sight with the past Se-gye, but she'd be going through a lot with the present Se-gye and build a relationship with him. I'm really torn between wanting her to go back or not.
The first two episodes were such a joy to watch!!! I was hoping it'd never end!! Absolutely in love with our chaotic main leads. I really wonder how it'd end. Will she go back to the past to a time before the incident, or will she stay in the present? I kinda feel bad for the real Shin Seo-ri because if Dan-sim stays, then where is the real Seo-ri? But I also hate to see Dan-sim go back to the past where life was so miserable.
What if the Prime Minister was a villain from the very beginningβ¦We know his father was a good Prime Minister…
Omg I think you could be onto something about the PM!!!! Your theory is the missing piece for me, because I get his intentions and all, but it just doesn't connect. But after reading your theory, I can see how it connects everything he's done and his intentions seamlessly.
I love that our leads aren't perfect, as in they show their vulnerable sides and admit to their mistakes like…
We all know Jeongwoo has always had a crush on Huiju. We all suspected if he'd turn against I-An. And then he did. But the buildup to Jeongwoo actually doing something that could potentially hurt Huiju just seemed a bit out of character to me, or rather a little abrupt. Like, the intentions and the actions are all there, but they don't connect seamlessly. So even though his actions all made sense, it still felt like something was missing.
For example, Jeongwoo said before that he'd let Huiju do what she wants. That's why he agreed to her marriage with I-An instead of disapproving it as the PM. But now that he realizes I-An and Huiju have liked each other, he suddenly wants Huiju for himself and actually thinks breaking them up would make her go to him?? Come on. He's smarter than that. I feel he's hung out too much with Queen Mother that she messed up his head and he couldn't think straight anymore.
I seriously thought Jeongwoo was smarter than this, and he's better than some toxic secret admirer sunbae. Even until the end of Ep10, I'm still thinking maybe he could be a double spy (which I'm really hoping!!!!). The preview for next week's episode made it seem like Jeongwoo really betrayed I-An, but I'm still holding onto a teenie tiny bit of hope that Huiju only asked that because I-An and Jeongwoo are secretly working together, and Jeongwoo could very well expose their plan to Lord Inpyeong if he wanted to, but Jeongwoo's the only one I-An could trust, hence the question from Huiju.
But honestly....I'm not confident. I feel that Jeongwoo could really have turned bad and I'm just reading too much into it.
And the king...omg...poor boy T_T Yun didn't even realize she was doing to her son what her father was doing to her. I wonder who's the girl she was hiding and which case is she linked to.
I love that our leads aren't perfect, as in they show their vulnerable sides and admit to their mistakes like messing up at a decision and not trusting each other enough, but then they learn and recover from it and become stronger.
Maybe coz I'm used to sageuk and their palace politics storyline, Lord Inpyeong being so hung up on power made sense to me this whole time. But the part that felt a bit underdeveloped for me, was Jeongwoo's arc.
I just love the chaotic duo Huiju & Hyeon ππ theyβre so funny. When Huiju gave him finger hearts and…
Seriously!!! Yi An trying to move closer to receive the hearts was hilarious. He's so silly ππ And Yi An probably thinks Hui Ju is the cutest thing ever. Can't blame him though, because I completely agree ππ
Theyβre so chaotic and loud ππ I love it when Hyeon said so shiny and went on taking her photos and then…
Yes!!! I replayed those parts so many times!!! Ms. Do is Hui Ju's best aide and I love her, but I just love how Hyeon is the total opposite and reacts so enthusiastically towards Hui Ju's antics. We definitely need more of those ππ
I really love how Hyeon's vibe matches Hui Ju's while Ms. Do's vibe matches Yi An's, and it has worked when it's the other way around all this time, because when you put Ms. Do with Yi An, things become more efficient, but put Hyeon and Hui Ju together and their energy is just wild. π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
I knew it!!!! No one can be trusted!!! Ugh. I hate that this will be dragging on for another season and the good guys didn't exactly win.
S2 was pretty straightforward compared to S1. I remember the fights in S1 were good. I feel that they showcased a wider range of fighting scenes this season. The boxing fights were incredible, but the rest of the fights were just okay. Then again, this series focuses on boxing, so that makes sense.
I hope Gun Woo and Woo Jin can have more wins against the bad guys in the next season. Just a tiny bit more. It was heartbreaking watching them feeling so guilty and helpless. Some may think there were too much crying this season, but honestly, them breaking down at every hit makes SO much sense because WHO WOULDN'T??? They just wanna live in peace and do legal competitions that's all. But these bad guys won't leave them alone.
Now that Gun Woo has toughen up his heart, he finally won. Everyone who plays it fair and square never wins in this drama. Only those who bend the rules and step into the gray area get a taste of winning.
Also, even though the young cop saved Gun Woo's mom, why do I still feel that he's sketchy????! Is it just me??? π«π« We also don't know who exactly are the ones in the police force helping Man Bae and Baek Jeong. It could very well be one of the guys close to them. I hope season 3 will be good too. This season was okay since the pace was really fast and the fights were great. Season 1 felt more like mind games plus physical fights, but this season just felt like 100 percent physical fights. Not complaining though, but if S3 repeats the same thing then it might get boring. But... who knows? Maybe it won't. Anyway, looking forward to S3 and please, please let Gun Woo and Woo Jin win!!!!
Almost finishing Ep6 now, and I need Min Beom's black ops team to get Baek Jeong already because his guys are moving so fast and then we have those cops moving like a tortoise omgggggg And so glad to see Du Yeong again!!!! T^T
Just started Ep6, and I still can't trust that young cop guy. I couldn't see who's the insider cop (I think) who leaked info to Man Bae in the early episodes. The one who was on the phone with Man Bae and smoking at the dark staircase.
There's just something about that young cop, Gang Yong's junior, that I find fishy.... but I could be wrong. Thing is, we still don't know who's the mole among the cops, so I can't trust any cop except Min Gang Yong.
what spoilers? the ending is known. the good guys win, bad guys lose
Yea, but at what cost? Who dies in the process? What did the good guys have to lose in order to win? Those are all part of the spoilers, no? For anyone who hasn't finished the series, all those detail are considered spoilers.
