Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
How can you say that? HE IS JUST A CHILD. The same age as Dan when he first transmigrated! How can you look at…
Thanks for sharing. For me, I don't have that much compassion for the crown prince as a kid either. Not because he's just a 2D character, but I personally don't see kids as completely innocent beings. I feel that kids are a lot more intelligent and know more than they seem or we think. And kids, too, who are old enough, should be responsible for their actions. (Again, not overlooking the adults' faults here.) So yea, the crown prince may not have become the way he is if he were raised by decent people, but I think he also kinda knew what he was doing after the first, second, or third time.

And I get what you mean about the show losing complexity and nuance if we brush off all of the other characters as just 2D ones. I agree. That's why I also mentioned that I haven't developed any positive attachment, particularly, to the kid. I guess it was misleading when I said Dan keeps saying all the others are just 2D characters. Technically, I agree with Dan, but the attachments I have for them vary from character to character.

If you talk about Bei Zhou or Xie Yong Er, who are also 2D characters, or even Eunuch An and the other scholars, then I'd hate for them to die because I've developed positive attachments to them. So I don't see them all as just 2D characters.

I respect your thoughts on the child characters and I completely understand your point and feelings. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Hope you have a nice day!

How can you say that? HE IS JUST A CHILD. The same age as Dan when he first transmigrated! How can you look at…
I get where you're coming from. And as I've implied in my original comment, I know the kid's innocent. He's been brainwashed by the QD. But like Dan keeps mentioning, they're all just 2D characters. And to me, that kid's just that. If he'll become a threat to Dan and Wan Yin, then I'd rather he be gone.

Also, I'm not only blaming the child for the same thing the adults do. Unless you're referring to Dan hurting others? Then I beg to differ as well. If you're referring to the child's actions and the QD's, then I want to be clear again that I also blame the QD and all the other adults who've hurt Dan, Wan Yin, and people on his side. But if you're referring to Dan's unhinged actions, I feel that it'd be comparing apples to oranges because Dan is in a different situation now. Dan and the kid were both treated the same, but Dan was more aware of his situation so he made different choices, which led him on a different path.

I guess I'm more okay with Dan being a grey character, so I'm fine with Dan becoming unhinged sometimes. He's got to survive in the story, so he's gotta do what he's gotta do. Especially after what he went through because of Xiahou Bo and the QD. So yea, him becoming unhinged is justified to me, though that's not who he wants to become that's why he's grateful for Wan Yin showing up. If you're comparing the kid's actions of protecting the QD to Dan becoming unhinged, then I'll just be really honest and say I feel nothing for that kid. I pity him, yes. I feel a little bad for him. But he's just a 2D character whom I've barely developed any positive attachment to. It's not his fault for being born, but the fact that he's the outcome of Dan's assault and had been used by the QD against Dan just makes my skin crawl, so I still stand by my point.

That said, I apologize if any part of my comment have offended you. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I know the kid's innocent, but gosh, he gets on my nerves too. I know i'm terrible for saying this but watching the ending of Ep24, I hope Dan would just kill that boy. One, even though that kid only knew the Queen Dowager as someone who protects him while his father doesn't care about him at all and even hates him, so the QD is probably the only one he could be dependent on, but ugh, just no. Two, he's just a walking reminder to Dan about the assault. Three, stupid boy tries to protect his evil stepgrandma while harming Dan and Wan Yin in the process. I really loved how Dan just completely lost it and wanted him dead more than anything at that moment because stupid boy crossed that one line he should NEVER EVER cross, which is hurting Wan Yin. Four, keeping that boy alive just means trouble, to be honest. How is Dan gonna reverse all that brainwash the QD did to the boy and stop him from coming back to bite Dan? Whenever characters make this humane decision and keep the "innocent" ones alive or give those bad guys a second chance, it just never ends well.

Glad the QD will be gone next episode though. Good riddance. And omg only 8 episodes left!!!!

Really enjoying this so much! I really like when FLs who have transmigrated are smart and aren't dumbed down once they "fall in love". I like that Wan Yin still thinks logically even when she's realizing she may have fallen for Dan.

The plot's pretty engaging so far, but I can't help worrying if any of the good guys will get killed again. Like the rest of the scholars who are helping them now, or even Bai or Bei Zhou. As we get closer to the mid-point where the mood might shift, moments where they are enjoying their victory or bidding farewell make me anxious because they feel like some foreshadow.

And they keep saying things like only one of them will survive between Wan Yin and Dan. 😭😭 Please I don't want sad ending.

I have to give this drama it’s dues, I have absolutely no concrete clue who the killer is. sigh
I really like how it's the finale week next week and we still have no clue who the killer is because it's making me anticipate it even more. I like how they made the leads get together this week so that they've built more trust in each other by next week's episodes to work together against all odds.

The kdramas lately have left me losing interest either by the middle or towards the end right before the last 2 episodes. But this drama has been such a joy to watch! I think they've nailed the romance and mystery parts and kept them balanced well. I'm so sad it's about to end πŸ™

Omg, I feel like I'm back at square one now after Ep10. CEO Geum willing to share the audio recording is a huge reason why I'm not suspecting him that much anymore. I guess he's just a money-hungry businessman, that's all. But the rest of the people lack motive, that's why I'm at a loss right now. 😫

That earring could possibly be Hye Ju's, coz it could likely be a couple thing she had with La Ik. BUT, Sena said he used to wear it a lot and not longer wore it much recently, which doesn't quite match the timeline since La Ik and Hye Ju broke up quite a few years ago. He wouldn't have still been wearing that after they broke up. Meaning....chances of the other earring belonging to Hye Ju is now lower. That leaves us with the members. It could've been a gift from one of them. It would make more sense if it were from U Seong since La Ik seems to be closer to him within the group. But U Seong is dead so it can't be him. So it's either Jae Hee or Yeong Bin, but it still doesn't make sense to me coz WHY would they wanna kill U Seong? What can they get out of it?

This is the part that leaves me stumped. Because it doesn't look like a murder carried out of impulse. It seemed premeditated, which means there's got to be a motive. Could it be Hye Ju? I feel that it's unlikely. If I remember correctly, she doesn't have beef with U Seong. (Or maybe she does? It would still be stupid to kill U Seong at La Ik's house though.) Plus, she wants La Ik, alive, not dead.

Now, her dad? He's definitely capable of hiring a killer, but I doubt he'd be stupid enough to plan something like this, especially since he's been wanting to send Hye Ju away so that she wouldn't ruin his reputation. Killing her ex-lover would only bring more unwanted attention and bring Hye Ju back, which is the opposite of what he wants.

So......that leaves us with no one!!! I'm honestly sooo eager to find out who it was. The revelation better not disappoint us after all this buildup. I even thought maybe U Seong killed himself, but why would he do it in La Ik's house and put La Ik in trouble. My bet now is that La Ik was the target, and U Seong was mistakenly murdered.

In Ep10, there was someone spying outside Sena's home. It made it seem like it could've been the reporter, and I know it's very likely the reporter, but....what if it wasn't? I don't know. I'm just throwing random assumptions now. πŸ˜‚

Anyway, I love the cute moments between La Ik and Se Na this week, like his cringey and hilarious aegyo in Ep9, and him getting caught near Se Na's house in Ep10, and him confessing he was following her the night Jae Hee's incident happened, and asking if she went to play the piano because she missed him 🀣🀣🀣 The way his eyes lit up and even bit his lip in anticipation was so cute and funny πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Next weekend is the last weekend already. I hope we get a bit more cute moments between them, and hopefully the whole revelation with U Seong's case and Se Na's dad's case would be satisfying.

La Ik is surrounded by so many manipulative vampires and the CEO is such a big part of the bloodsuckers!!!!!
Exactly. And he even tried painting U Seong as the bad guy when he was the one pushing U Seong into that corner. That's why I don't trust him. I was so glad La Ik saw through his bs and called him out on the spot.

Done with Ep9 and i still don't trust that CEO. I feel he's definitely still hiding something. And Hye Ju... I still feel like she's just pretending. She acts like she's able to let go, but she's also saying words to manipulate La Ik. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it, but the way she scrunched up their photo together...... hmm, not liking it. Smells iffy to me.

Only if people hating on ML could read this! I wrote as well, but you defined it so nicely why ML has trust issues!…
Thank you!! To be honest, La Ik doesn't have the best ML character out there, but our ML here isn't meant to be perfect. He's meant to be a total mess mentally but is actually a really nice person. I believe any nice person would end up becoming someone with spikes all over after going through the kind of hell La Ik went through.

Instead of pointing fingers and blaming him or her....first think about it from their perspective he is already…
But here's the thing....you're not La Ik and La Ik isn't you. So you gotta think from his pov. La Ik's been haunted by obsessive fans for years to the point he doesn't even feel safe at home. To you, finding out someone helping you is a fan would make you happy, but to La Ik, it's the complete opposite.

I completely understand your frustration with La Ik though. Dealing with him isn't easy and not everyone can put up with that.

Biggest suspect to me since last week has been the same. That CEO Geum is behind it, and the manager is an accomplice.…
Also kinda pity Hye Ju this episode finding out why she broke up with La Ik back then. Her father's the worst. Still, her coming back acting all entitled definitely left a bad taste and I'm not a fan of it either. Still don't like her much, but I'm glad she seems genuinely eager to help La Ik.

Title Idol I Spoiler
Biggest suspect to me since last week has been the same. That CEO Geum is behind it, and the manager is an accomplice. Or a bigger plot twist would be what I initially thought, which is U Seong getting involved in some shady business connected to Hye Ju's father, and he broke the deal or something. I still think CEO Geum's got a bigger motive though. Maybe CEO Geum was the one colluding with Hye Ju's father and U Seong found out so they decided to silence him.

I also think Jae Hee's whole "su*cide" was staged. But tempering with his car would've been too obvious. Maybe it was someone he trusted who drugged him and he drove without knowing. So back to the person he trusted.....I'm suspecting it's the manager! Same thing goes with U Seong's case, tbh. They said the killer was highly likely someone they trusted. With Jae Hee's case, they already labeled him as emotionally unstable, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he took some meds, making the drugged situation less suspicious.

Also don't get all the hate on the FL and ML. La Ik was traumatized by his so-called fans. He's developed trust issues over the years. Now with Se Na, she made him trust her and even rely on her, showing her his vulnerable side. Finding out that she was hiding this huge secret from him would've been terrifying because WHAT IF Se Na actually was a manipulative person? What if she actually had bad intentions.

So what if he's seen how "sincere" she was. If Se Na was really manipulative, she would've been able to make it convincing, acting sincere in front of him. I mean, look at CEO Geum. La Ik's known him for years, La Ik trusted him. Yet that guy's been hiding and acting in front of La Ik, ready to beteray him and his members, even La Ik never thought to suspect him. At this point, no one can be trusted. It'd be weird if La Ik wasn't freaked out and angry at Se Na, especially with his bad experiences.

And for Se Na to really let go takes a lot of courage. I love that she's tried her best to keep things professional. Even after La Ik knew and fired her, she didn't let her pride get in the way and went to Hye Ju to ask for help. Because she knew Hye Ju was the only person who could. She was really looking out for La Ik, not as a fan but as a responsible lawyer.

FL and ML are honestly just two broken people who managed to find solace in each other. I can't wait to see that in the next episode.
