A curious question, what genre are these two dramas you are mentioning and excited about? I am looking forward to seeing A Dream Within a Dream and The Princess's Gambit too by the way, but from reading the synopsis and watching the trailers, are they considered "xianxia"? We shouldn't be comparing apples to oranges, two different fruits.

Episode 5 at 10min mark, did you see that tear on LQY's cheek after BJS elegantly lowered her down from choking her, he was full of emotions and finally rested his head on her. Bai Lu's acting was amazing there with that tear, I was feeling the emotions in both characters of that scene but the background music was not fitting and so off 😭

Still enjoying the drama 🩷❤️ (just whining/venting about the bg sound for ruining such a good scene!)

I was pleasantly surprised after seeing the trailer when it premiered! It had that dark, mysterious vibe that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This might be another great drama in 2026 🤞🤞

If anything similar to the battle scenes when she was playing a general in Untouchable Lovers, she will be amazing and even better, a 2.0 version 👑 Lulu! 🗡🔥❤️

The background sounds are so off-putting at times and are occasionally ineffective in conveying the intended emotions in the scene. Hopefully the bg sounds will improve over time, or maybe it was meant to do this to us, part of the chaos - confusing and unimaginable plot 🤔🤷‍♀️.

Those who are not enjoying this drama, you really need to stop attacking the plot and go watch something else. And let’s be real—that’s the whole point of ALL xianxia genre! It’s suppose to push boundaries and give us wild, illogical, unimaginable plots! That’s what makes it so addictive! To be full of confusing twists, overwhelming angst, love, betrayal, and emotional chaos. That’s exactly what we signed up to watch — and Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng are delivering it flawlessly. They have exceeded all expectations. The drama is absolutely outstanding, they are breaking all records (hitting 9,000 heat index, etc.) with only 8 episodes aired. You should focus on their performance, there’s intrigue in every gesture, every glance. You’re constantly wondering: is she really naive, is there another side of her evil genius… or is he just overly paranoid? Their chemistry is perfect! ❤

Yes! Especially when she turned back to look at 2ML, her smile while the red ribbons flowing was so lovely.

She does have that vibe! She will be great in that type of modern role. But I also want to see her as a spy or secret agent or maybe part of a SWAT team, like a modern version of AMA that she did.
