How is the drama guys? Is the romance good? Any kissing scenes(I know it's a Allen Ren drama but still...)?

💯 agree on that but one reason I can think is that both the main leads of When The Phone Rings and My Lovely Boxer are famous actors at least more famous than the actor of Do Won in this one. And famous actors sometimes get more leeway in some things so maybe that's the reason.

I was talking about his real age here because as you said he is only few years older than FL in the drama.

The thing is, the ML isn’t conventionally handsome by most people’s standards and is also much older than the FL. That’s making some viewers feel she should be paired with someone younger or more attractive, and as a result, the ML is getting a lot of hate.

It was a previous major hit drama of Youku and Chen Feiyu. The story was also quite similar like breakup in the past by ML due to noble idiocy and reconciliation in the present timeline. Both the MLs are also really smart and have tried to build their own company. But L&P was received much better by audiences due to the insane chemistry between the leads and because it showed us a relationship where the FL was putting more efforts and pursuing ML.

How is the ending guys? Please tell me in detail if possible so that I can decide whether to watch it or not.

Tell me your honest thoughts about this drama? Is it worth watching? Because I don't think I can handle a simp like ML whose only purpose in life is to love after the FL and the novel was just like that which is why I didn't finish it completely. I rather prefer to watch Lighter And Princess which people say is different than recent dramas where FL is the one who is Simping on ML and doing the whole pursuing which is somewhat a novel experience currently

Just compare the green flag male leads we’re getting these days with the red flag ones from before—you’ll see the difference. Almost 90% of them are devoted, green flag types now, so why shouldn’t a drama like this exist? If you don’t like it, then simply don’t watch it.
Anyway, dramas often differ from the novels—they tend to tone down even the most red flag male leads and turn them into puppy-like characters just like what they did with Kill Me Love Me.

I didn’t really mind the age gap—what didn’t work for me was that she just wasn’t visually appealing enough to sell the romance with Xing Mo. She looked her age, and in my opinion, noona romances only work when the FLs are at least attractive enough to carry that dynamic. Personally, the first thing I notice in a woman is her face—call me a hypocrite or whatever, but that’s just how I feel. And honestly, I think the same applies for women too when it comes to men.

The stair case scene was in ep-13 where they officially started dating. Their first kiss was in ep-11 in the training room of ACME

Yeah, her age wasn’t specifically mentioned, but after she slaps Yi Jing, there’s a scene where she talks to Xing Mo and says she’s been taking care of Yi Jing since she was 6 and she herself was 20 back then. Since Yi Jing was 29 at that point, I just did the math and figured Han Jia Lin is supposed to be around 43.
And I totally agree—Zeng Li would’ve been such a better choice! She not only looks the part but also has that same vibe as Han Yi Jing. She could’ve easily passed as her real aunt and still looked age-appropriate for a noona romance.
Anyway, yeah as you said, at least the drama didn’t waste too much time on that couple haha.

Yeah, I felt the same about the Xing Mo–Aunt romance. Honestly, I think the actress was miscast as a romantic lead. She doesn’t look like someone in her early 40s—she looks much older. And no offense, but she didn’t have the kind of beauty that could match up to Xing Mo. In older woman–younger man romances, both characters usually need to be visually compatible to make the relationship believable, but here, she just came across as too old. We just saw Tiffany Tang in AMBF, and she’s in her early 40s but still looks amazing. The makers should’ve cast someone like her instead.
