I really liked He Tianxing better than Situ Aoran because I wasn't able to properly connect with Aoran's character and his antics, such as being dominating, arrogant, and treating Xiao'En like a doormat, while Tianxing was better than him in comparison.

That's not something everyone knows at first. Even when I first started watching cdramas, as I was only watching already aired dramas, I also didn't know what the express package meant. I only learned about it when I was scrolling through the comments on this site.

Watch recently airing drama Regeneration too. Because it also feels different from the normal cdramas.

Some new ones were actually better and didn't have those tropes, or they were somewhat a believable part of the plot and weren't forced like it is in this one and 'Men in Love'.

Oh, and ML is still hung up on her. I don't know what has happened to dramas where both leads were shown making equal efforts for the relationship without one of them being a simp. Majority of new K-drama from 2022 were like that, so I stopped watching new ones and shifted to old K-dramas and some brilliant new C-dramas, but now even C-dramas are doing that thing too.

Was it shown that she has a boyfriend or were there any hints? Just tell me because I haven't started watching it yet after learning that they didn't end up together in the movie.

Not really a slow burn because they develop feelings for each other quite fast but due to second leads intervention they are never able to express it properly.

Yes, they only have feelings for each other. But FL did break up with her BF in ep1 due to him cheating on her.
