Maybe for you it would have been an insult, but I personally would have liked to see Hae In's struggles from her childhood to her marriage. We are only told about them without any proper context on how she suffered and how she became cold and aloof.

Do you really think so? Because now we have only 2 episodes left, and until now, we have so many plot lines to be shown. Even in this week's episodes, we have encountered a major plot hole where Hae In's parents didn't go with her for the operation, leaving her with only Hyun Woo.

You are probably asking for too much. There are too many plot lines still left, and I'm baffled about how they are going to resolve those in just two episodes. We don't know what Geonwoo's birth timeline is. Was Da Hye pregnant before or after marrying Soo Cheol? Did she really cheat on him? We don't know about the mystery regarding Hae In's miscarriage and her brother's death. We don't know why Mo Seul Hee specifically chose the Hong family as their target and where her strong motivations are coming from to utterly ruin the Hong family. Hae In forgot her memories, so how will she again come to love Hyun Woo? It's still not clear what Grandpa Hong's motivations were for suicide. Hyun Woo is in jail for fake murder, which probably has to be resolved in the next two episodes while also dealing with the villains. This drama could have been perfect if they focused more on the couple than on the villains, just like one of my favorite dramas, "18 Again."

Actually, what I meant was that the villain's arc could have been resolved by this episode, leaving two episodes for Baek Hong. Because all the memories regarding them are only with Hyun Woo right now, and Hae In has forgotten about them. It would have been more satisfying to see Hae In rediscovering her love for Hyun Woo because, other than stories that can be learned from others about them, which honestly will probably not make much sense to Hae In about why she loved and married Hyun Woo. Also, the growth she has undergone and the bonds she has formed with others due to her illness are probably all meaningless now. The writer could have shown her rediscovering those bonds, and her love for Hyun Woo would have been enough content for episodes 15 and 16.

If the series truly focused on a couple overcoming their marriage struggles, they shouldn't have introduced such powerful and all-knowing villains because it simply shifts the entire perspective in a different direction. If it genuinely was about their marital struggles, then their other problems should have been resolved by episode 14, giving us two episodes to explore Hae In rediscovering her love for Hyun Woo after losing her memories. While "Vincenzo" was primarily a revenge drama, "Flower of Evil" was much more than that; it also delved into how a lie can profoundly change relationship and marriage dynamics. There were almost zero plot holes in "Flower of Evil," and everything was resolved satisfactorily. Even another drama like "18 Again," which shared similarities in depicting how different factors affect marriage, had better plotlines with fewer holes, despite incorporating fantasy elements.
