JiHu is going to be even more hurt when he realizes why his parents are opposing Sabin's wedding to YeongJu. Both the dad and mom are hoping that through SaBin, the family line will continue and by him appropriate marrying someone in his own age group means that there will be no biological children in the family. So they are unwilling to let that dream go and that is why the mom is trying to push away YeongJu. So JiHu has never been enough for them. He was at best a placeholder and Sabin was supposed to fulfill what the mom and dad could not do -- produce a heir.
I feel like one day she might try to force Jihu back by trying to harm herself. I can totally see it.
DoHee does not seem the type to self-harm because she loves herself too much. However, if she can manipulate JiHu, she might try that tactic. She is more likely to harm others and in rage, can try attack someone.
DoHee is clearly a case of abused turning abuser. It was scary to watch her rip the clothes and destroy his room. JiHu is so used to being in the shadows that he says nothing which means his family has no idea how truly disturbed she is. I liked that JiHu said that he is not her therapist and cannot do anything for her. She is definitely going to rage against him as well as JiNi as some point. Will it lead to attempted murder? I really hope the writer does not pair her with brother#2. The poor guy can do better.
Apparently, the family has never actually checked her background or has done a really poor job of it, but has…
This is rather weird rich family. The couple is arguing in the bedroom and MiRan waltzes in with some juice/tea. Even butlers know when they shouldn't intrude. So it is really strange that this household gives MiRan so much free rein and trust.
Well, it will be quite satisfying to see MiRan's downfall as she seems to be a psychopath. No loyalty or affection to even Manager Na. The poor guy did all her dirty work and then got killed by banana milk. She acted like she was doing him a favour because she gave him a childhood treat. Oooh, such cold-bloodedness.
How has she managed to hide her true face from those around her? Why doesn't anyone find her weird or suspicious? Without Manager Na, who is she going to find to do her biddings? Since she seems to have immense resentment to growing up in the orphanage, my guess is that Jeong Seon and her are related or that Jeong Seon herself was adopted from the orphanage.
It is a good thing that EunSeol has learned from her stint in prison. It has made her tougher and more aware of the ugly side of humans. Hopefully she will apply those lessons not to Manager Na but also to MiRan.
JH and DH have a long way to go till the bitter end :) DH and thus her dad - and thus JH's golddigger parents…
I am not convinced they will break up this time either. It seems like a toxic yo-yo. JiHu will go back to her because he lacks will and he wants to please his parents. I won't be surprised if he gets married to her and then finally runs off to get a divorce. (So the cycle repeats and curse from 1st wife comes true when JiNi becomes the 3rd wheel).
Yea it will be boring. Those kind of arcs work only when there is lot of conflict and passionate fights. Here, we will get barely anything based on how JiHu is being portrayed.
Yea I feel Seri is the heart of the show and is the reason to keep watching.
JiNi is kind of boring but JiHu is even worse. He has zero interesting quirks or anything for us audience to be curious about. He is so bland. I actually see why he is drawn to DoHee because she at least has some personality (even if bully). He has none.
I don’t understand why Director Joo has a high position at the company and still acts as a housekeeper for them.…
Yea I don't understand why she is still living in that house after she started working in the company. For rich people, these guys are so cheap. They can't hire a housekeeper?? Tsk. Tsk.
they already had the second son as a cheater indirectly. so I won't be surprised if they do go down this route with the first son. they have to fill the drama with some conflict and right now, it feels more slice of life. so some drama stuff has to happen for them to reach 100 eps.
it would be funny if 1st wife also ended up affair. but yea, it makes sense if the sons do too and they basically lose the right to criticize dad and seri.
So almost caught up and it looks good. EunSeol and the lawyer HyunJae seem to have a quiet chemistry that I want to root for them even though it is unlikely. Ha! 😅 I like that the drama has not revealed a lot of cards even in the flashbacks and there are still questions:
Q1. Why would the rich family sponsor SeokJin and provide for his mom? They are not the charity types at all. It does not look like the mom was always challenged but rather something happened. The actress mom mentioned they used to take vacations together when SeokJin's dad was alive? So what happened to him? So there is some secret there.
Q2. Why did MiRan go to lengths to swap the baby? In a scene with dead mom, she said that what would you do if your life was stolen and her own answer was take it back. So who stole her life -- was it the actress mom? ceo dad? and why does MiRan think she is entitled to that company?
Q3. While MiRan goes out of the way to indulge HeRa, it still does not feel maternal. Rather like, she is living her entitlement through HeRa. At the same time, she is well aware that HeRa does not have enough brain cells or the drive to run the company. In other words, HeRa will always be a puppet. So is that on purpose? She gets to inherit the company indirectly while using HeRa?
Q4. Why does MiRan continue to live in the house? She is an employee who also lives in the house as housekeeper, nanny and cook? It is a strange setup and why is the family so reliant on her? Why not hire multiple people? Are they cheap? Or under MiRan's control? Subtly, she has way more power than employee and is almost a family member. How did that happen?
Q5. Anyone else wonder if HeRa is actually CEO's daughter? Maybe MiRan had one night stand with him years ago? Or if he isn't, then who is the father? Did she get pregnant on purpose to swap the babies or was a that plan cooked up along the way?
She has a sense of humor. The actor can do both comedy and tragedy. And she has chemistry with everyone. I enjoy…
I like that she pushes back and doesn't take things lying down. It is such a refreshing change and it is fun to see everyone's shocked reaction at her attitude.
Appreciate the actress playing Seri. She manages to make the character charming, entertaining as well as childish, silly, bad decisions all at the same time. In other words, Seri feels very real.
