Yes, i'm the same the only 2026 drama I've watched was The First Jasmine (which was brilliant imo) i'm very picky when it comes to dramas. But i do have a good feeling it will maintain its quality to the end

Exactly, there's no point arguing with these people, check out the reddit discussions, they actually care about the drama itself and not just idolising actors for the sake of it. I've never seen the ML or FL in any dramas before, so I guess that's why I don't care how much screentime someone gets or doesn't get.

Yes the ML was barely in that drama, but oh boy did Duke Su steal the show. He was wonderful, you're making me wanna rewatch the drama now

I don't understand what people are fighting about. Only 4 episodes have dropped, they should at least wait for everything to come out before they fight over screentime. Anyways I watch historical dramas not just for the leads to be romantic but for the entire historical context. I thought the ML had adequate screentime anyway, they can't reveal everything in the first four eps

That was the best 4 episode debut from a 2026 drama, I'm ngl to you. My expectations were low and they were greatly exceeded. I'm sat, I'm so sat. Soundtrack, cinematography, acting, costumes, everything is on point. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I haven't had a drama hit me this hard since The Double, wow 😭😭 I haven't watched something this angsty in a while 😭😭

I want to take a break from harem dramas for now, because it was a lot. however I will add it to my list, I plan to watch Yanxi and Ruyi too (I heard they are sort of like sequels ish)

It really did I genuinely felt terrible. Ngl I didn't hate the emperor, I thought I would but I really think he is a victim of the system he's been placed in. If I had all those concubines I'd probably be acting a fool too lol
