I do agree with that. I think as we get more scenes with him we can pinpoint what had changed. But I feel like his character traits, being quick to anger/short tempered/ruthless/killing people without hesitation - has always been there since the beginning but has strengthened in intensity since leaving Ganlin and coming to the capital

I personally feel like the ML hasn't changed, he's always been very ruthless, (still thinking back to when he killed Le Dahu that shook me to my core). I think his initial first impression/appearance has changed but fundamentally he is the same. I understand why he;s keeping away from the FL but he's also damaging her reputation by doing so.

I'm never tired of political scheming, I need more dramas with it actually
