On ep 30 now and while im still enjoying it, the quality has been dipping. Kind of a bummer. Still good, but I'm not obsessed like I was in the beginning.
He should be in jail for life, not in the entertainment industry. I've heard him say things like he wants to date…
Finally some sense. So many losers in these comments I stg. He was so creepy towards Kim Yoojung back when she was a child and he was grown. Even IF (big if) he never did anything technically illegal, he's still a major creep and that should bother anyone with a working moral compass
10 episodes in and I am SHOCKED that I'm loving this. Every super popular drama these past couple of years has been painfully disappointing. But so far I am definitely understanding the hype. It's really good. Too early to call it a masterpiece but I am so happy to finally be enjoying a romantic costume drama again. I haven't really loved one since Lost You Forever.
Guys. Looks like I didn’t fall for Zhang Linghe. I fell for Yan Zheng cz other dramas of Zhang Linghe is not…
Same! I didn't care for him at all in love between fairy and devil, kunning palace, or princess royal. But he's really mesmerizing here. I think it's a combo of him suiting the character and amazing chemistry with Tian Xiwei.
They already released a forensic results showing it was ai manipulation and stop deleting ur comments lol just…
RED FLAG. Whenever anyone brings up ephebophilia or hebephilia the conversation is no longer worth having. Just means that weirdos are trying to justify predatory behavior
She belittled him very publicly, so he should rant the very same way...
Honestly yeah, i remember him dogging on her so bad in the meteor garden days. But she was always so chill about it and took all of the jokes he and the other boys made in stride.
So he isnt allowed to say he felt uncomfortable when they publicly voiced their "jokes"? THEY made it…
None of these comments are hate. They're valid criticism and opinions. This is not a black and white situation. Yes, he has the right to feel uncomfortable. However, Shen Yue's intention was not to be mean, she didn't intentionally try to hurt him. Both of these factors should be considered when handling a situation like this. His intense and very large fanbase also needs to be factored into how to handle it. Just because she made a poor joke publicly doesn't mean she deserves to be bombarded with hate. But that's exactly what happened when he made the post that he did. No, he didn't say anything bad about her. Only his own feelings. But with his platform and position of power, he should have handled it privately or worded it in a way that wouldn't have incited his fanbase to defend him/attack her like they did.
Have to agree with the commenters saying he should have handled it privately. He has a way bigger fanbase than her and she as a woman already receives far more criticism. She's not a malicious person, everyone who works with her always has good things to say about her. There's no way she would have said that so publicly with any kind of bad intention. I feel bad that she's going to have a hate train from a silly joke she made and that he piled on. He's valid to feel uncomfortable about it, but there is a responsibility with his platform that comes with a following of that size and intensity to not send hate to other people.
Comments were right. The second half does suck. Having trouble getting through these last 10 episodes. The first half was fun though in a dramatic soapy way.
i struggled to finish it as well, it got really boring after the first quarter and never recovered. i believe…
I know I'm in the minority here, but I didn't feel the chemistry between the leads! Chemistry can save a boring drama a lot of the time but I thought the leads fell flat
Song Mo’s white hair alone has its own fanbase, literally
I know it's all in good fun but that tells me the fanbase is a more juvenile one. Which is fine, but it also shows me that the high ratings aren't really to be taken that seriously
You realize that People have different tastes no???????
Yes, people have different tastes. But you can also tell when something is objectively very good, mediocre, or bad. The Vampire Diaries had a large fanbase but it's still garbage. I'm pointing out that this drama is average at best yet it blew up in popularity which didn't make much sense to me. The hype didn't equal quality in this case
This was way too popular in China than internationally, this MDL site's Rating is only rated by 20k+ raters, nothing…
The historical dramas that have been blowing up the past couple of years just don't make sense to me. I haven't seen Pursuit of Jade but Blossom so far is incredibly mediocre and so was Prisoner of Beauty. I'm losing faith in the audience's opinion these days lmao.
I really hate business plotlines in romance dramas. When the drama is set in an office or business is the main focus, then yeah I get it and it can be done very well. But in a drama like this where it's a side plot it's always so fucking boring. And they're spending so much time on it. Like none of us care about Haoming's investments and business partners. It's so unnecessary.
