Li Yi Tong is one of the best of the 90's born Chinese actresses out there. She honestly picks a lot of really terrible scripts, but her acting ability is top notch. I can't wait for this.
so by your logic if someone is bullied as child to the point where they still get nightmares of it as an adult,…
It is fair, because in her memory he never objected to her actions. She thought he was having fun with her and that they were best friends. She still didn't view it as bullying even after she was an adult because in her memory they were just two kids playing. She didn't think there was a reason to apologize, not because she's an asshole, but because she didn't think there was any wrongdoing.
I'm not saying his feelings are invalid, but his treatment of her as an adult was. It doesn't matter if he thought she knew she was a bully or not, that doesn't justify his actions. Like you said, he should have logically just confronted her about the problem.
...Just something to add, I actually really liked the beginning episodes and thought they were funny. My previous points are just me coming from an objective critical standpoint of the characters' actions. I personally loved all of them, including the ML and his ridiculous revenge against the FL XD.

She does apologize later though. She starts worrying if all of the people around her enjoy calling her "Master Tang" or if they were pressured by her. She viewed him as her best friend, it was never bullying to her. Once she saw how his experience was, she felt bad.
As to the original argument, he didn't have to just let it go. But he's an adult and knowingly mistreating her whereas she was a child and didn't realize she was upsetting him. He should have just told her his issues or he should have not hired her and just not interact with her again.
I think the thing I liked the most about this drama (apart from the adorable chemistry between the leads) was that the FL actually had her own dream and was determined to accomplish it. I was worried this was going to be like Go Go Squid or any number of the other youth dramas that have an ambitious male lead and the female lead is just there to root for him. But Tang Xue and her career were just as important as Li Bu Ying and his, which I loved.
The second leads were pretty annoying for a while and the conflicts in their relationship were kind of dumb, but the positives of this series far outweigh the negatives imo. A solid 8/10 for me.
that's a wrong saying. even if a man is a shitty husband doesn't mean hes gonna be a shitty father.
You're telling little children that they should be able to keep their shit straight. That is absurd.
As someone who's actually experienced this. it was damaging. I don't know why you're speaking on something you have no experience with. I love my parents and I'm doing fine in my life now that I'm an adult and a long time has passed, but there was a large portion of time as a kid where I hated my father.
If a father cared enough about his kids, he wouldn't do something that could forever alter their image of him. And it's not like in some situations where the kids will never find out. Their parents are famous, the kids are guaranteed to not only eventually find out, but they're going to know the girl who he cheated with and all kinds of other heinous details.
Ask any child therapist or kid who has gone through the situation, it's awful. I'm not saying dads who do this don't love their kids, but they don't love them enough to put their best interests first.

That kind of stuff affects kids no matter what. Obviously they're eventually responsible for their own lives, but don't try to act like this won't negatively hurt them. Especially because this is all so public. If he was really such a terrific father, he would have never put them in this situation.
