Kind of unclear ending. You can interpret it as happy, but a lot of editing and censorship came into play with this drama. Which is really a shame because everything else about it was incredible imo. Still definitely worth a watch.

Try The Story of Ming Lan. It's a slow burn but the payoff is so worth it. It's a mature high budget historical, definitely not made just for young teenage girls lol.

Does he ever become less of an ass and does she ever gain any self respect? 1 hour 40 mins per episode is too damn long for neither character to develop whatsoever.
