No sane director would rescind an offer for a drama because of a cigarette butt, not even in Korea. His agency also wouldn’t be allowed to frame it as him rejecting the offer if the offer was actually rescinded.

I’m sure it’s true that it’s a scheduling conflict. But with what? He has no confirmed upcoming dramas that haven’t basically finished filming? High Cookie has wrapped, Twinkling Watermelon wraps this week. Hopefully a new project will be announced soon.

I do wonder if he maybe felt it’s too soon at 21 to take on adult romantic lead roles, and that the ‘conflict’ was more about him not feeling this was the right time for this project. But who knows.

It's the same with Netflix. Thrillers are more popular globally, because romcoms aren't as popular elsewhere as in Korea. Squid Game, All of Us Are Dead, Extracurricular, Sweet Home, DP, My Name, Bloodhounds, Black Knight, The Glory, so many of the Netflix originals are thrillers too. Most of the romcoms on Netflix are not originals, but dramas airing on JTBC/tvN etc. in Korea.

They should be on Disney+ globally, except in North America, where they are on Hulu. Sometimes it can be difficult to find them, because their search function is a bit shitty.

I need it to be Wednesday already. It's so hard watching weekly, even with two/three episodes.

Hope he's announced for a new drama lead soon. Loved seeing him as the lead in Gaus Electronics. Watching him in Love in the Moonlight now and he's so compelling (and hot) in that, too. Great actor.

She's really great in Love in the Moonlight. Can't wait to see her in My Demon.

It baffles me how comfortable people are about body shaming. He likely slimmed down for his back to back Sweet Home 2&3 shoots. It's not like he's underweight; he's perfectly normal.

The FL is a bit annoying, especially when she's nagging the ML. After the escape room she kept trying to make him go out and drink with her, despite him saying no repeatedly, and then when that didn't work, she switched gears and tried to manipulate him by making him feel bad for her instead. At least she realized that she shouldn't have lashed out, nor been so clingy. Hopefully she'll change her behavior.

I wonder if the "backlash" will influence his decision on whether to accept this or not.
