Just terrible to straightwash a BL like this, but also not surprising that they would do it. I will not be watching, and I hope the drama will do poorly. I don't blame the actors, but it's just not right.
I can't quite explain it but the actor who plays Doo-shik reminds me so much of Park Bo-gum. Like he could totally play his older brother or father (just 12 years between them but still) in a drama lol
I'm excited for this next eps...but i feel like Doha Pass should be revealed now in the next eps... It's been…
His past has been revealed. His ex disappeared and he was charged in a murder investigation. He's since claimed a new identity and up until now covered up with a mask in public, to avoid being recognized as the suspect from that case. What we *don't* yet know, is what actually happened to his ex and who was responsible. And that is obviously something that would be revelaled in the second half of a drama; it's way too early to reveal that in the first half.
a drama is made for most of watchers..not for minorities... we donβt want cringe contents and silly romance...there…
It's based on a Korean webtoon? Also, Korea is known for their thrillers, though perhaps more often in film. Such as Memories of Murder (and don't forget the excellent kdrama inspired by it - Beyond Evil), or Decision to Leave. It's great to see more k-dramas in this vein, since the tradition in film is so great. So all this whining about catering to Westerners seems odd to me.
It worries me that the directors are so inexperienced. It's quite difficult to direct an action-packed show. Hopefully they have hired some experienced stunt coordinators and fight choreographers.
Wi Ha Joon is perfect in this but the writing was just not it. Every time anything about the drug people was on screen I lost interest. The childhood trauma stuff was dragged out forever. Not enough K!
I think vigilante is going to premier in october...
It's been reported for November (and one of the actors confirmed this in an interview), plus it would make little sense for Disney+ to premiere it in October while The Worst of Evil is still airing. But we'll see what happens.
The Worst of Evil premieres on Disney+ the week after Moving concludes. This would suggest that Vigilante could premiere the first week of November, the week after TWE concludes on the platform.
and no, New Jeans isn't an improvement. Their genre doesn't correlate with the soundtrack it's trying to mimic.
The NewJeans OST is a cover of a song from the 90s, which is actually quite cool in the way that it balances both time periods within the show, the present and the past.
