I'm so happy the Supreme Court ratified the previous court's suspended sentence. He can now focus on rebuilding his life. I see some media outlets are calling for "self-reflection" and "apologies" but he's already done both those things, for nearly two years, five months of which he spent in detention.
The success of The Match and Hi Five is a promising sign of his reintegration into the industry, and while he will probably lay low for a while now, I hope to see him on screen again in a new project next year.
The drama has not even finalized where it will be broadcast yet, let alone started production. Hence the article stating "The premiere date and broadcast channel of Four Hands are still in discussion." So I'm not sure where you're getting that from.
Its release date depends entirely on where it ends up, and when shooting will start. If it ends up at Netflix, the backlog is big and their 2026 calendar is filling up fast.
Sounds like a great comeback project! If he accepts the offer, hopefully it will be a terrestrial tv drama and not a Netflix production, so that we don't have to wait until 2027 for it to come out.
I am starting to wonder if it will ever be broadcast, I think Ok Taec (or his manager) is having second thoughts…
They've signed a contract so they have no say in its release unless they want to pay hefty penalties. It's up to Netflix. I assume it'll come out before the end of the year.
It used to say "Coming in August 2025" on the Netflix app, but now it says "Coming soon". So I guess it may not come out in August after all, otherwise there'd have been no reason for them to change it.
26 year older leads playing high schoolers? 🤦🏼♀️ only legit if the school setting will switch fast
The irony of this complaint when you rated Lovely Runner a 10 when Byeon Woo Seok was 32 playing high school for a large part of the drama. Oh, and based on your review, you also preferred the high school era with 33-year-old Hwang In Youp in Family by Choice. 🤔
I like the casting, but not sure why we need "Hotel del Luna Season 2". Also actors returning from military service choosing Netflix dramas for their comeback hurts. We may not see Lee Do Hyun until 2027 😭
After watching a lot of masterpiece Dramas my expectation and standard have become very high so I think this is…
People who think light-hearted dramas can't be masterpieces and that a drama must be "serious" to qualify as such seem woefully misguided to me. But they're the ones missing out. With that attitude, I would have passed on Twinkling Watermelon. So I'm not boasting, but I'm happy that I have a much broader idea of what kind of dramas can be truly rewarding.
Most kdramas are starting out low this year. WLGYT started out in the 7s as well and is now the highest rated drama on the site. Takes a while to stabilize. It already went up to 8.0 now.
I'm loving this but I have to say I'm irked with the potential love triangle. I don't dislike love triangles but…
I doubt there will be much of a love triangle, certainly not an annoying one. Youngwoo has already teased that there will be bromance between Gyeonwoo and Jiho, and the relationship chart they released is also clear that Jiho's crush is one-sided.
They've also already shown Jiho to be very popular with the other girls in their class, so he might even get a different love interest (hopefully not the annoying class president though lol)
