Episode 10 got a tv rating of 5.5% on tvN, its lowest Sunday rating so far in its run, and down almost a full percentage point on last Sunday. It'll be interesting to see how it performs for the final six episodes.
What are you even at?? Drama has 16 Eps, most probably from next episode they will start dating from next Ep and…
Based on this week's episodes it would feel really soon to have them start dating already from next episode. Her ex-fiancé whom she entertained the idea of rekindling things with literally just left. They've had very little build-up with Seokryu actually exploring what she feels for her mom's friend's son. It sounds like it'd feel rushed.
I'm so glad to finally see the FL's mom ADMIT her mistakes -- it's much easier to sympathize with her now
Too bad it took a cancer reveal for her to change her tune. Ideally, I definitely would have wanted their mother-daughter relationship to have improved without guilt being the main factor.
I duno Ex seemed like "Okay" dude to me and all the fault lies squarely on FL for not contacting her family and…
It definitely would seem hasty if she got together with ML next week. That's the problem with a trauma bomb week as late as episode 9-10. It's hard for the rest to not feel rushed. But we'll see how they manage. I worry they'll struggle with building believable romantic chemistry considering it's been so sibling-like up until now. And with this essentially being "rebound" territory after her ex-fiancé, it really is a minefield getting them together now.
I think the production team fucked up with the genre tags 🙂The drama is truly AMAZING, but I totally understand…
It is also categorized as a romantic comedy on Netflix, with the tags "charming", "feel-good" and "romantic", which is clearly misleading. But I don't think the criticisms are necessarily just about the bait and switch. Many of us love melodramas and tearjerkers, but still feel that the writer here has done a so-so job of making the serious tone of the central story gel with the rest.
I think seokryu bit went too far for blaming hyeonjun after that party scene. I mean she should have thought of…
He put his life on hold for years to be her caretaker, essentially, and she got mad he went to a party? To feel some semblance of normalcy? Not that I blame her either, because her reaction was clearly the depression talking. Neither of them did anything wrong, in my view.
my biggest ick with this show is how the characters seem to meet eachother by coincidence every single time ,…
There's a lot of that. The end of episode 9 was also lazy. Two big coincidences after one another. First Seunghyo stepping on Seokryu's purse on the floor and seeing the envelope sticking out and deciding to open it and read her medical documents. Then their moms walking in the door just as the word cancer is uttered. It cheapened it and dulled its impact a little for me.
They do seem to gloss over the uglier parts of cancer. But then I appreciate that they are in a society where…
In QOT they explicitly stated that it was non-invasive brain surgery by use of cutting-edge ultrasound technology. So shaving her head was not needed. Simply an excuse to keep her beautiful, of course, but it was at least provided.
Before anything else was it OK for him to read her medical records without her consent? We could give him a pass…
I think opening someone's private mail is also a crime? It did strike me as a little bit odd to have him do that. And then for him to be like HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?
When the slow burn is so slow that after 9 episodes - The FL has had more couple scenes with her ex than the ML - The ML has almost felt like an SML since the ex joined the fold - The FL has rejected and firmly friendzoned ML after he confessed - The FL has barely given any indication of having romantic feelings for ML
Now we can only pray that episodes 11-16, which is when Jung Hae-in has suggested that the actual romcom will be happening, won't end up feeling rushed and like too little too late. Fighting!
but we tune into it regardless, so do we really not like it? think over.
I will keep watching too. I think it will get more enjoyable and fun now that the cat is out of the bag in terms of her past illness and she can start moving forward.
Every week it gets funnier and funnier to me that they're pretending this is a romcom. Unfortunately what we are actually getting is suffering a bit from slow pacing and lack of originality, The lead actors are often suffocated by an oppressive script that seems unsure of what the drama wants to be. This is made more confounding by lighter supporting storylines that don't mesh well with the melodramatic central story, resulting in a drama that feels off its balance, especially when the storylines intersect.
Judging on the synopsis of Luck alone, this lawsuit will be thrown out of court. They don't sound nearly similar enough for there to be any legal standing for the plaintiff. Just another opportunist lol
