The webtoon the drama is adapted from. Apparently part of the reason she rejects him when he first confesses is that she finds out he's younger than her.
Hey guys, doesn't Choi Hyun Wook look too young for a director role? He still has a baby face, so I don't know…
Him being younger than her is a plot point. Their work dynamic will be a source of comedy, He has the job despite being so young because he's the chaebol heir who will inherit the store.
Probably not. Looks like Disney+ will release it globally. Which is not great, because other than Moving, their dramas don't usually have a high profile. I can't believe Netflix didn't fight for this after QOT was such a massive success for them.
It's still on the 2024-25 production schedule for Studio Dragon, but they need someone to not reject it as they obviously can't start production without a proper cast. It's an expensive project with a high-profile director, so they will also need high-profile leads to accept the project.
Can't wait to see Hyunwook as ML! I'm sure he and his team have chosen the part well, as always. I'm happy he feels ready to graduate from high school roles only and to take on his first proper lead role!
If there is not a typo, it would make them 31-33 in the present, which wouldn't be that bad. I think hairstyle…
Yeah, I'm not worried. We know virtually nothing other than the info posted in the article confirming the casting. The director wouldn't have cast them if he didn't think they were right for the parts. Besides, ML is supposed to give off a youthful vibe, and it's a plot point that he's younger than FL, which will probably be used to comedic effect in the office setting.
the casting is an odd one. the synopsis says they meet 16 years after high school. that would put them mid 30s.…
Actors in their 30s play high school students all the time, so I'm sure the other way around will be fine too. But I don't understand why they need to jump 16 years though. It's not how the story goes in the webtoon. Just say 8-10 years later instead? Strange decision.
Now officially confirmed as ML in Black Salt Dragon, production underway, release first half of 2025. Based on the description it sounds like it'll be really funny and a perfect role for Hyunwook where he gets to use his "irresistible charm as a chic boss and a free spirit who lives life following his heart."
