Nope, if people don't like a Netflix drama, it will fall quickly and peak lower, like Goodbye Earth recently for instance. This is growing day by day, which suggests that more and more people are watching and enjoying it, enough to make it #2 WW.

Loved this drama and happy it's doing so well on Netflix! New record today at #2 worldwide! It's #1 in 33 countries and has even cracked the top 10 in US/Canada. The fact that it keeps increasing even after the weekend suggests solid word of mouth among the general public. Season 2 is looking likely. 🥰

You replied to my comment about Viki, so that was the context for my reply comparing Netflix's inaccuracies and their approach.

Oh, I don't doubt that. Their translators are underpaid and are not given enough time to produce the quality of subtitles that they should aspire to. But there's a big difference between better accuracy for subtitles on OTT platforms like Netflix and Disney+, and adopting the approach used by Viki.

Subtitles are not meant to be an exact literal translation. I often find Viki's to be laborious and overly detailed, where you sometimes have to pause the drama if you want to read everything.

Q3 (July-September) - exact date not confirmed yet.

This looks to have come so far in the preproduction stage with a complete cast and a plan for 18 episodes split into two seasons that I imagine KSH confirming his appearance is just a formality at this point. He's had his little holiday in Jeju, stopped by the Wonderland premiere, and seems ready to get back on set.

I think A Prefabricated Family is the direct English translation, while Family by Choice is the official English title of the drama. Like Mom's Friend's Son and Love Next Door, or Graduation and Midnight Romance in Hagwon, or Thank You and The Auditors. Many recent examples.
