ya i agree. a lot of the toxicicity was left out and changed in meteor garden (even though there were still some).

i didnt watch this. i watched meteor garden first and liked that despite the cringe, so i didn't really want to watch this one because its older. But i started watching clips and kinda wanted too, but even just from the clips for the first time (like i never really ever felt true second lead syndrm until now) i actually am so against the main couple so bcs i didnt watch it ill just have it that in my head the girl ends up with second lead. :)

ya idk smth about the comments really hightened my expetations. esp the guy that said dont bother with the korean remake. i watched that first and ya they added a lot of extra plot but like idt this one was better, act i think i lliked that one more. they liked each other right away maybe that was the point but then like that ending. i see what they wanted but idk not a fan.

i wish they just made it that he got better instead of leading that he died. like it made no sense had he act died but the back n forth thing was not it either. like an example with uncontrollably fond people were sad but it was 100% expected like it makes complete sense but if he had died here it would've seemed like an extra plot device (in my opinion).
