I'm so sad that they replaced the original cast for ode to joy s3, the chemistry with these 5 girlies are impeccable and irreplaceable ;; anyway, I'll have high hopes for s3 because they have big shoes to fill...

i want to erase this show in my mind and rewatch it again for the first time to experience its excellence all over again.. srsly, what a masterpiece. the best of the best.

the best drama i've watched in 2021 and in my top cdramas of all time. amazing acting, writing, directing overall, beautiful cinematography, and characters that you love to root for. it is so realistic that it doesnt even feel like you're watching a drama anymore - it feels like you're watching life unfold in front of you. this is one of those 'once in a few decades' cdramas and i implore everyone to watch it!

btw it has a 9.3 on douban which is supberb considering how harsh they are on cdramas. can't believe this is only a 8.4 on mydramalist; this deserves at least a 9.0 on here.

grew up watching ada on tvb shows and loved watching her on chinese variety shows, she's so funny and her mandarin pronunciation is so cute

this show was soo cute omg the chemistry between olivia wang and her 6ft+ san fran HUNK of a man

i personally liked it better than twenty your life on, maybe bc i could relate to the characters more lol. loved the friendship between the ladies

cheng nan was the worst omg he was so possessive and toxic and did not know how to appreciate lu ke (also he was always so insecure about finances and being the 'man'). zhang mang was better altho i still prefer chemistry between siyi and lu ke

altho ik siyi isnt totally perfect either, she can also be possessive and controlling lol

after watching quite a few cdramas, still nothing tops how well written and gripping the bad kids was. the rating of 8.4 is way too LOW.. this deserves at least an 8.8 or 8.9. smh!
