Okay sooo would some people who didn’t mind the Storm Alliance arc tell me why you liked it? It felt like it…
It seemed like a pointless sidequest. It's like a "tell but don't show" setup for how amazeballs ML's mother was, to prepare viewers for a spin-off show about her doing jianghu stuff.
(I also thought the first truckload of Jinxiu was really boring.)
why didn't the king kill th father of his concubine? Since he killed the queen, he should have received a capital…
The emperor did not kill the prime minister because the emperor essentially used the prime minister to kill his own wife.
From the moment the empress wanted to abduct the crown prince / heir out of the palace, she 100% *had* to die, no questions asked. Mayyyybe taking the princess, his sister, would have been negotiable to some degree. But taking the only heir? That cannot ever fly.
Since she was threatening the emperor with a sword, stabbing her in the back essentially was a patriotic act.
Perhaps one could say said concubine became the new empress as reward for the Zhuang family's many years of service, *including* their role in killing the previous empress.
hey I have a question ! is it too angsty ? and is it boring like the prisoner of beauty ?( pls pple who find that…
For me POB was "very long and nothing happens".
For this show I completely disagree. Nothing with the main leads is boring, screentime isn't really wasted on stupid stuff. The is a short weaker part in the middle, where there's some drastic twists followed by a lot of time spent on a new place for (necessary) build-up.
Both shows don't really have a strong OST going for them.
For me "tears in the rain" type breakups where the viewer has to suffer for like five episodes are the bad kind of angsty. On that scale, this show isn't angsty at all. There are a lot of villains, but the main couple does not suffer many internal or external attacks on their relationship.
On screen look at how him dubbing himself made his character look so real and like the Killer God of Susha: https://weibo.com/7891260075/5223853787186630
I wish the FL wasn't dubbed, or dubbed differently :(

That's what those comments discuss, as far as I saw.
Nor can Douban ratings, those are all over the place due to other reasons, like hating on actors.
IMDb ratings are a tiny tiny bit better, but also not useful.
If you want kisses, well you already watched When Destiny Brings the Demon...

Daddy: EP27
This isn't really a show to skip around in, if that's why you are asking.
Yes. :c
Here he's only half as annoying due to (thankfully) being on screen less.
