With his friendly naïve face, Woo Do Hwan channels Lee Je Hoon for me (which isn't a complaint or anything!), especially in the first episodes, when he's all smiles and super polite. Especially the looks he gives his co-star, I guess?
Besides a few minor complaints that would be spoilers, the action sequences are very very good.
Tonally inconsistent (in the Vincenzo way) and the script relies on a lot of zero-IQ stuff to add, well, extra melodrama?
The last third veers a bit far into nonsense, especially the outcome – to a large degree presumably due to the FL actress being nuked from Korean society. Sad.
Dropped this on ep 6. Whilst the fight scenes were great, the script and storyline were really weak. The first…
Well episode 6 is likely due to the FL actress being cancelled, so maybe the writing team figured the character directly related to her should get canned as well. It was pretty disrespectful for them to die like that.
When did they do anything naive or something? besides the time where they called the cops for mr.Oh
Dumb nonsense: - the 'kids' being sent to fetch the money themselves while the head knife champ just chilled on a couch doing (he was declared "busy" but was visibly unoccupied the whole time) - in ep 6, after declaring it was important to stay together, everybody splits up separately to get killed off on their lonesome
Yeah agree there was not much depth to the two main characters which is a huge part of the reason why i felt the…
Perhaps all the ep6 deaths were needed because the FL actress got kicked out of K-society, since they were all related to her? It felt like ridiculous fan-service that it went from that straight to them having a basically-naked workout session.
Can I get some real opinion from a drama veteran, is this drama worth it? I want to watch something with a satisfying…
It's worth it, but the last third could have been much better. Since the lead actress had to be kicked out, that's a bunch of forced rewrites and stuff.
What happened to hyeon joo at the end? I am kind of confused about her ending
The actress was canceled and thus did not reappear. The gold bars at the end are primarily "her property" since they were stolen from her (adoptive) grandfather.
Streaming services have to keep paying licensing fees for all the shows they offer (besides the ones they outright own). That's why there is a rotation of sorts: shows are removed sometimes, and they might get re-added later on.
For example Flower of Evil left many Netflix countries at some point, and came back in Sept 2022. On the other hand Chicago Typewriter and many other tvN shows did not come back. Reply 1988 came back quickly after its removal, while the other Reply are not on Netflix at the moment.
Good that you dropped this! I don't think that you can comprehend a complex drama like this which is more about…
You went back to school for a cyberbullying degree, and now you can silence others who speak their views online? I guess that too is some form of accomplishment...
This could have been four to six hours shorter, and that still would have given more than enough time to flesh out some side characters / couples more.
Another 2-3 licensed songs wouldn't have hurt, either. For 18 hours and this many flashbacks, there's a palpable lack of variety.
1. Unknown2. None are two-sided3. The classic "can't live without each other", I suppose4. Uhhh... perhaps not?…
The ML claims he was shy about the FL not liking how he looks, so he did not reveal himself until she recognises him (but they regularly met for weeks in the same place).
In other dramas that might happen with similar pretense, or pretending to be strangers might be a joke between the two characters.

The ending of TWTWB you can take as: – reality: a simple few-months flash forwards, basically just skipping rehab time for both – ML's dream, with FL dead (less reasonable; unless the scene of her having survived and adapting is his imagination, while the reuniting scene after is hers) – FL's dream, with ML dead – ML's coma / "hopeful imagination in moment of death" – FL's coma / "hopeful imagination in moment of death" – ML's & FL's common, literal, afterlife, after both die semi-simultaneously; basically heaven
Pick any!
You can't take ML & FL meeting at the restaurant & talking like strangers as the inside joke of a couple. That is dispelled by the dialogue.

It will be removed from all Netflix regions besides maybe Russia.
https://www.netflix.com/title/81012487 you can set a reminder here to be told if it ever comes back :3

The same goes for Viki and everybody else!
