Also, Heng going viral on x.com because of that NC scene in episode 2...I've seen some people regularly saying he cannot act...or that his expressions are weird...Apparently it's not weird enough or not that "cringe" for the people liking that scene and sharing it everywhere. Only a good actor is able to portray that kind of scene...A bad one and it's easily laughable. Again, some people let their own prejudices cloud their own judgment.

As for the flaws of DBTE, it's the usual flaws I tend to find in every director Tee's series (I've said it since the beginning) : the pace. But I was expecting this and I still consider this one for now as one of his best series. I have no "expectations". I didn't read the novel too so that it doesn't spoil the fun. If you've done so, expect to be disappointed because the element of surprise regarding the plot would not be there anymore. You're the one who has basically killed your own entertainment of the series...That's your problem, not the series problem. You're just not able to manage your own frustration, like a kid.
In general, Thai series should be filmed completely beforehand, with time being spent to craft it, so there is no "irregularity" in the execution. But as usual, budgets are a b*tch...That's why you have super great episodes (like episode 7) and some others which are not exactly on the same level. You can feel the scenes where they have made several takes and the ones where they don't because of the lack of time...But it's a problem I've found with many other Thai series (though for some, even with multiple takes, it's still not good...). I can only hope now that those 4 remaining episodes won’t waste the good impression I have on this series. It happens with Jack and Jocker...Super great at the beginning and a total let down at the end. So I’m praying here.
But anyways, I’m hoping we’ll see those two in another project soon. They have great potential.

Analysis about Jamie character. - you can guess he's like Big Jane junior. This plot gives a perspective and also some kind of answers from where Big Jane is coming from (instead of flashbacks -or maybe later ?-). The warnings from Little Jane 'he will have no friends, etc.", is basically what happens I guess with Big Jane when he was a child. But there's also a huge difference between the two brothers. The father talks to Jamie. He doesn't with Big Jane. Is the reason because of the mother then ? - Well, the purpose of an ordinary life. He's a semblance of normality in a world really not normal...the deals, the psycho like moments of Big Jane, an absent father, the constant hurting and going to a hospital...everything in this world is not what you can expect from an "ordinary" life. Playing football, playing games, drawing, etc. This is an ordinary pull made for Little Jane comeback into Big Jane life. The extraordinary is what break them. Jamie asks Little Jane to draw Big Jane, not him... He's almost "forgotten" by both of them in that meal/ice cream scene...which lead to him being hurt. B. Jane and L. Jane are so obsessed with each other that they forget everyone else.
I think it will lead to the plot of one of the person dearest to Big Jane being hurt because of his "deals".…
Yep, the episodes with angst and conflicts are also my favorite 😈. That's where the story and series literally shines ! But I also think that the nanny subplot is also because Big Jane remembers Little Jane words in episode 6. When Little Jane says the happier times were when they were sharing those moments of ordinary life or something like that (meeting the parents, etc). So in way giving him the job as a nanny is like giving Little Jane some aspect of "ordinary" so that he can feel happier. Big Jane knows there's nothing ordinary in his world with those "deals" so this is a kind of "compromise"

He wants him to come back to him on his own free will and because Little Jane does not feel "obligated" to do it. - He needs basically confirmation that Little Jane is not doing it for another reason than love. And he remembers the words of Little Jane before they break up. Little Jane feels happier when they share ordinary life moments with Little Jane family. In fact, Big Jane proposal for Little Jane being the nanny is basically bringing him on a plate this aspect of "ordinary". Yes, Big Jane still make those deals in this world. But he's also in a world where he can share with Little Jane some aspects of ordinary life. Thus the nanny subplot. Episode 8 was basically a series of tests and trials made by Big Jane to see if Little Jane is really ready to come back to him. He cannot force him. He cannot erase the feeling of guilt. He cannot promise an ordinary life. So how ? - By showing his devotion and loyalty (no he's not his "kid"in the end 😭) - By seeing how far Little Jane's obsession goes (and it goes as far as his own obsession) - By offering some ordinary aspects of life (playing football, being a nanny, etc.) I could go on and on, about also the allergy scene and the rush to the hospital (the feeling of guilt of Little Jane was really blatantly expressed there), but I'll stop there 😭 This is already too long...
Honestly, I feel like this episode kind of lost the plot. Just my opinion, but I’m still waiting for the next…
I think it will lead to the plot of one of the person dearest to Big Jane being hurt because of his "deals". I guess it's going to be most likely Little Jane. that's why Little Jane has warned Big Jane about those deals. He's not against them now but he's reminding Mr Big Ego that he is not powerful enough to stop the people around him being hurt. So this seems again like the calm before the storm 😭The suffering is not over. There's something foreboding in the way Big Jane says in the secret room he cannot bear to lose Little Jane a second time. Well, let's see. As for episode 8, well, Big Jane seeing Little Jane misinterpretation about him having a "kid", the way Big Jane subtly "uses" his younger brother (I'd not be surprised if the younger brother knows this priorly too) to break Little Jane last barriers (as a nanny) and let almost wide open the secret room...to catch the Little Jane cat...That man is smart and still so manipulative 😭Does playing the "hard to get" and "acting cold" was from his purity of heart ? Maybe ? Or maybe not ? After all, you can hook someone even more by making yourself unapproachable. But it's true he also respects the promise he's made. That doesn't mean Big Jane isn't very much into Little Jane though or that he doesn't "love" him. He is. Absolutely. But he's using the usual means he knows so well...

It's a different answer. They're showing a NC scene which is not automatically anal sex (like in BL viewers mind, anal sex = only true sex lol). Again, it's not for nothing. It doesn't feel forceful or like one of them pressuring the other to do it. Both of them are on the "same page". The smiles, the intimacy, etc. It's the first intimate scene where you can feel they are really "together".
People expecting NC scene full of raw, angry etc. sex. And they give what ? Sweet, emotional, romantic, passionate. 😭Almost like the rom-com feeling of the beginning. They're soooooo playing with the viewers feelings ! I love it ! Do you think it's for nothing they're doing that ? 😭 Again mirroring...The drawing...The room with the deal... Jamie being like Big Jane junior... Big Jane still being this manipulative self and cynical person... I see you series, I see you...Always the doubt...Always thinking...can he really trust you ? can we, as viewers, trust him ? Who's the real one ? His dark side, full of danger... His sweet side... This series going nowhere ? Nah. Like Big Jane being the psycho, this series is the psycho too...can be sweet...and....BAM ! dark, dangerous, is this the real side ? Were we fooled ? Making sweet love in a creepy room dedicated to his obsession ? And L' Jane enjoying it ? Oh yeah. A beautiful trap ? A golden jail ? Or the truth of a beautiful love having a second chance ?
NC scene feels very natural ! Love it ! So we're discovering more of Big Jane world. And of course he's still quite the psycho lol In fact I like that they have not changed that "much". Because of course time won't erase personalities, inner conflicts, etc. The problems are still there. They won"t disappear miraculously. As usual, a transition episode, before the storm and conflicts coming again I guess ?
Of course, B. Jane is a huge red flag (the ost says it since the beginning). L. Jane knows it, thus the lack of trust and inner conflicts. You cannot blame him. His only flaw was to believe that every evil doing is because of Big Jane. Not "every" evil thing happening is because of B. Jane. Like a serial killer is not responsible necessarily of all the murders happening. And some opportunistic people use that to make those evil deeds, knowing people will blame the wrong guy.
A not so good guy is not necessarily responsible of every bad and evil thing happening. Responsability doesn't work like that. A victim is not necessarily a perfect victim with no flaws. But they're still a victim.
