Up to episode 3 and I can't believe I'm watching a drama where vomiting is an actual metaphoric theme

I actually agree. The standard is unrealistic. It’s gonna be hard for the current actors to keep up and harder…
Very true. Also, focusing on visuals might negatively impact the plot/pacing of the drama as a whole. I think if they wanna have good dramas but also focus on visuals, why not cast diverse-looking actors? As in, like, different features, skin tones (I know damn well that China doesn't have THAT MANY fair-skinned people in real life), etc, etc. I look for talent & good/my favorite actors (or ones that I know of) in my dramas, or at least the dramas I wanna watch. Plot, too.

How does the FL look like a policewoman? I'm confused? Also, her tech/company got stolen, I'd be pissed too (even…
Her characters in Hide & Seek and Defendant weren't like that, from my knowledge. Same with Mother's Garden, All Is Well, and (maybe?) Second Husband?

See? Her character was like this in The Brave Yong Su-Jung too. I hope UHK isn't being typecasted... also, dear k-drama writers: not all "strong FLs" have to be reckless, naive and clumsy in order to be considered "strong"... 😭

I don't disagree with that, in fact, I mentioned in my first comment here. "Eun-Ae is painfully naive".
One thing I hate about KBS1 daily dramas is how ridiculously comedic they are (or try to be) to the point where it's annoying or cringy. Or both.

The Chairman wasn't nationally powerful in the 90s, though. Also, if DH left with Jun-Ki, I don't think they would've been found. Would've been nice to see DH live as Myung-Hee & have an American identity, but I guess staying as a concubine (Lady Kim?) was her best bet...

I get that. Tbh I'm much more into Sang-Ah's storyline myself, although I do like seeing Tae-Seop's ruthless climb to power. The story is (mostly) about him, after all. But I'm intrigued by Sang-Ah the most and the mystery/thriller aspects, too.

This is too political, I have less to say. It's like the business scenes in a romance drama that I don't pay much…
It's a political drama, specifically a political thriller/melodrama. The protagonist (Tae-Seop) is running for president. So it makes sense that it'd center around politics, since it's a political drama. It's in the tags, the genre, and the trailer too 😭
