You guys are so vile, calm down a bit with your sexism and fatphobia in the comments lol There are really other ways to express your dissatisfaction with characters' behaviours. Anyway I feel like this drama wasted its potential. Jung Yi Shin and her son are such interesting and well done characters. The rest of characters is lacking a bit imo but there's only 8 episodes so I guess I shouldn't be so mad about it. And Go Hyun Jung's acting is soooooo good! I barely remember the original French series but I do remember that it was pretty transphobic and the fact that version made in Anno Domini 2025 did not repair that is crazy to me... Even tho it would be really easy to make killer a transgender woman and at the same time to not include those wierd transmisogynistic parts - like in ep.6 police team are thinking why the killer went through medical transition and they decided that it's because of childhood abuse and that she's "just confused", or the clinic worker saying that killer medically transitioned to be perceived as less threatning, etc. This is literally not necessary to the plot for any other reason than to add even more stigma to already stigmatized group of people... There's still one episode left so crossing my fingers it's not gonna get worse lol
Was that main boy assaulted? His reaction to physical touch worries me.
yes, it's a really fucked up story - takumi's older brother, who was their parents' favorite child, was molesting him, but i don't remember exactly how old they both were then... his brother got sick later and died
I need everyone that didn't read the novel to know what Gao Tu thinks about this unwanted ummm 'incident' with…
(It's from chapter 59) "Shen Wenlang had given him unrequited love and terrible sex." I haven't watch it yet but I feel like this one sentence will add to your experience lol
Trigger warning: rape in episode 3 (in around 28min to 33min) Prime mentions triggers but not this one, which is a shame because it was too graphic for me. I would have preferred to mentally prepare myself beforehand
Oh this might be very difficult since it's so old, you might have to look for it on Japanese streaming services. On 家なき子 wikipedia page there's link to Hulu so maybe it's still avialable there? Anyway wishing you luck in your search!
there's also airing now B.Friend on WeTV (it disappointed me personally but maybe someone would like it?), Second Take on YT and next week we're gonna get Harmony Secret
