i think they're mixing up her names: jiu yao and xiao yao.
"(1.) Tushanjing made XiaoYao wait 15 yrs. to not love another man (but XY already in love with XL, proven by Lover's bug)"
and don't forget- in the drama, the scene right after jing tells her not to have other men in her heart during those 15 years is xiang liu coming to save xiao liu. hahaha

in yang zi's livestream, she basically confirmed that xiao yao and xiang liu loved each other but just couldn't be together. she also said that whoever xiao yao ended up with wasn't her choice to make, meaning, it's possible that xiao yao's endgame (jing) wasn't the one she truly wanted to be with.
"at the beginning, they all had a chance. but the most realistic thing is that none of them chose xiao yao. this wasn't something that xiao yao could choose. i feel pitiful for xiao yao because from the beginning to the end, her fate was already arranged. she actually has no way of choosing anyone.
at first, i even thought that maybe cang xuan has a chance, this is just what i thought. but xiang liu has his own national interests. to a certain extent, i think xiang liu completed his ending completely and beautifully. he died on the battlefield and fulfilled the meaning and duty of his life.
in xiang liu's life, he isn't destined to walk with xiao yao. like for ah heng and chi chen (xiao yao's biological parents), their different positions and fates led to a bad ending. so in this generation, xiang liu and xiao yao are not destined to be together. it's just one person takes a step forward and one person takes a step back. from a certain perspective, i think they're all aware. they knew from the beginning that there would be no result between them."
This exact thing happens to me! I have to rewind and watch some scenes repeatedly to capture all of those things.…
so i'm really not the only one who does this! we gotta pause to take in all the beauty in his facial expressions (and handsome visuals but that's self explanatory LOL)
i pay attention to the shows, i really do. but whenever jianci appears on screen, suddenly i can't hear or see anything else but him 🤣 we're all just like du cheng staring at shen yi, aren't we?
the plot twists in the hehong / xiaoan / tianqi case omgg the writers really know how to keep viewers on their toes!
tianqi's backstory though 😭 i cried when he saw xiaoan for the last time. can you imagine being in his shoes? robbing stores just because you want to financially support the people you love, go home to find them missing, see them again seven years later but they don't even recognize and acknowledge you AND you find out that your lover has a new partner now, do everything you can to protect them anyway, and then find out that it was all a lie - that person was never your lover, it was someone else using their identity, and you don't even know if your lover is alive or dead... i feel so sad for tianqi. he looked genuinely upset when he found out about everything :(( i hope the show gives us an update about him later. only finished ep 11 so we'll have to see
lastly, i love how du cheng cares so deeply for his team 🥺 that captain title is well-deserved cuz he's the glue holding them together imo
Ppl here hating on the mother so much, I assume r not Asian or did not grow up in a typical Asian household. Yes…
normal doesn't mean it should be acceptable though. i'm asian myself so i know how awful it is; my parents have done many "typical asian parent" things (which, unfortunately, have messed my siblings and i up for life).
this mindset saying that kids should forgive and love their parents despite their toxic behaviors because "it was out of good intentions" or "at least they're better than other parents" needs to be stopped, not sustained and brushed off. what's the point of having good intentions if your actions cause harm? why is it always the children who are expected to be the bigger person and clean up after every mess, instead of the parents, the ones who chose to bring children into the world in the first place?
am i just insanely obsessed or is watching a show with tan jianci in it a whole damn eye workout. have to watch once to read the subtitles and another to appreciate his dynamic facial expressions. if i look at his expressions for even a single second then i'll forget the subtitles LOL but if i focus on the subtitles then i'll miss out on every of his microexpressions 🥲
- "for most ladies, if they're having allergies like this, they wouldn't even dare to go out. however, you're just being yourself without caring about what others think. you're indeed very brave, very confident, very beautiful." - "you love this world so gently that it becomes a better place because of you." - "don't be afraid. no matter what happens, i'll face it with you."
Weibo Movie NightIf u have a weibo account, please vote for Zhen Er Yu Long and TJC under their respective categories.…
i also don't have weibo :( i read that he's been alternating between 1st and 2nd place. even if he ends up not winning, the fact that he's ranked high for not one but two nominations is already an achievement itself!
shen yi pls be my therapist 😭 i just love his vibe. he speaks so gently and listens so intently, that even when he's conversing with a literal murderer, it feels like he's just having a heart-to-heart with an old friend who went down the wrong path.
the camera people knew what they were doing when they focused on du cheng in the waiting room with chairs that read "waiting area for family members of emergency patients" :D their bond has really grown a lot in ep 6. definitely my favorite episode so far.
didn't really watch; just looked at the tv once in a while when my family was watching it. but just from what i saw, this movie was so bad. had potential to be better though
- rather than building suspense creatively to keep viewers on their toes, they over-rely on background music and loud sounds to scare viewers, such as a character screaming whenever the *slightest* thing happens like a door suddenly opening. ofc nothing new in horror movies but would've been nice to see a change for once yk?
- some of those meant-to-be-scary scenes felt like a parody. did they forget this is supposed to be a horror movie? cuz why are we getting a scary scene in warm coloring with the sun shining in the background like some motivational video "face your fears" LMAOO too much focus on aesthetics! also, i appreciate the men's efforts, but somebody pls tell them that guns are not gonna protect them from malicious spirits
- there was one part of the movie where, for some stupid reason, they decided to skip the buildup-to-the-jumpscare scene, go straight to the jumpscare, AND THEN flashback to the buildup scene. why would you do this?? it confuses us and now we don't even have that feeling of anticipation anymore because we already know what's gonna happen!! 🤦♀️
if you get scared easily or aren't picky about your horror movies then maybe you'll enjoy this. for me, it's so boring, poorly directed, and not scary at all. barely anything happens for it to deserve the 2 hrs it got. i think they had a good general idea but the execution was awful
Turn the sound on. I've been laughing at this Hi6 clip for the last five minutes, watching Tan Jian Ci's face.…
he made near the same expression when zhou ye sang offkey during LMLMV filming 🤣 can't blame him. hearing someone sing incorrectly sounds like nails on a chalkboard, especially for professional singers like jianci
They actually went out of their way to make it non-incest, though in the book they are totally cousins. Then they…
you can definitely tell it was a last minute decision due to censorship 🤣 the proof is in the trailer. to be fair, it must've been difficult since they could only alter dialogues, not scenes, that imply/reveal them being blood-related
