the budget was clearly already low, then they had to replace one of their actors (zhang hao wei) with a different one (li xin ze). rather than re-shoot scenes, AI must've been cheaper money and time-wise. yes it sucks and i hate it just as much as everyone else, but maybe it's cuz i've been waiting too long for this drama to be released that i'm just happy we can finally see it now, regardless of what criticisms i have concerning the show and its editing.
so here's a friendly disclaimer: don't come into this drama with high expectations. give some grace to the team for doing the best they could with what they were given.

the original actor for wang ruo hai (zhang hao wei) was involved in some controversy around the time this drama was hoped to air. hence they replaced his character with a different actor (li xin ze) using AI. why AI? because it's china and they're unfortunately pretty keen on using AI and advanced technology in general.....
