too much trauma

are people seeing what im seeing when watching this? I thought given the context of the characters yes maybe some things would be bad (because in the show they don't know any different) but its literally just hyper sexualising some really sweet men that could be so much more. I can't believe I even watched up to ep7 but after that ending, you can best believe I won't be going back there ever again. now ill point out the good bits- its pretty and it looks nice, the acting isn't too bad and Mile and Apo act quite well and honestly are just so sweet. however, the emotions keep changing like one minute its romantic/sexy and the next its serious, or when it goes from funny to just stupid and boring. I really liked Kinns brother because he was in TTTS and I really enjoyed his character, but here (not because of him but I feel like the fault of the director and character in general), he's awful and I can't take him seriously (I know its meant to be funny but its too silly and unbelievable). second of all - I feel like they use the face/body of the two main characters to make up for the series and it doesn't work.

now the thing that I'm most furious about: rape. I don't understand how people are seeing this show and thinking about how cute or sexy those scenes were- Porsche was drunk (twice) and DRUGGED literally till he couldn't even stand up straight, and yet Kinn did things to him. not once, not twice, but three times. and we're only at ep7. Kinn raped Porsche and they're still having a relationship. its so toxic and I think they could've still had that in the story line (because maybe that's what mafia men are like) but at least make it seem undesirable because its not okay, and people watching this seem to think that its cute for a guy to rape and sexually abuse someone who is drunk or drugged- absolutely not. and another thing - affection does not equal an apology, and neither does a little 'sorry' before you start to feel him up. the ending of ep6 sort of gave me hope as king really acted like he was sorry and wanted Porsche to have a better life- but to be in the same position and insult Porsche whilst he is literally being assaulted, was horrible, cruel and unnecessary. this review is quite a rant so im sorry about that. but I have to express my upset (I've literally cried so much because I don't understand how they can air a series that contains so many bad issues- without any disclosure). I could write so much but ill leve it there. if anyone reads this- please know that there are other series out there that are still sexy/romantic that don't show nearly the amount of toxicity, or at least if they do they show how bad it is instead of sexualising it. consent is a real thing that is part of everyday life- this show clearly has never heard of such a thing.

jumpscares, laughs and tension (oooooo) and handsome faces

this was brilliant. i loved it so much and it got me so engaged, there wasn't a moment where this film didn't have my full attention. i'll rewatch this again some time and for those who like zombie/thriller movies, this is definitely a must watch! i watched this with my family and everyone loved it. Also got to love Gong Yoo (has to be one of my favourite Korean actors/actors of all time. Every character played a big part, nothing was meaningless although the tension and angst did make me shout at the characters quite a few times. i really could not recommend this enough. it was also really funny, i don't know what else i could've asked for.
