ziqi being scared of miaomiao is so cute...and when he leaned his head on hers. i need more scenes of them!! excited for the clip in the preview where he called her fiance
the writing is pretty bad even for a web drama. they don’t flesh out the characters whatsoever, the ml didn’t know her name for a while and suddenly is feeling jealous, the fml is acting in a way the obsessive 2nd lead would act, just a mess. stuck through 4 episodes because both the ml and fml have good face cards
one hour and five minutes until episode 20 + 21...i can't wait, i need to see happy ziqi before i sleep :( waiting until 5 am is worth it for this show
ahh...it's finally that part of the drama where the ml will push the fl away. he thinks there won't be a good ending for them since he is half demon so there's no reason to start, hopefully it doesn't last long
i'm not a fan of historical dramas, but the chemistry in this drama is too good. i'm not even a fan of esther yu, but this a role only she could play this perfectly, the tension between them, the body language, everything is perfect. even the leads bickering is cute lol
update: i actually prefer this adaption a lot more then the cdrama! the life lessons in the cdrama seems more prominent, but the main part of the show which is romance was definitely a LOT stranger in the cdrama. in the kdrama. there is a clear distinction that they are NOT siblings, and he does not consider her one albeit very grateful for the years they spent together.
i also enjoy the direct love line they put with dal and haejun. the pacing of the kdrama is really enjoyable and a lot cuter
this comment is for anyone who is reading this comment section and afraid to start because of all the debate:
this drama is just as enjoyable for me as the OG go ahead is. is there differences? yes of course! does it still have the same charm? also yes!
i actually prefer san ha here over ling xiao. san ha here has more personality and i'm more interested in his development in this version. although there are some changes, the changes don't make the drama bad, just different! i actually prefer the changes and makes this a more refreshing watch then just watching the same exact drama in a different language.
this drama has a more light hearted approach then the cdrama if you're into that! it's hard to understand why some watch this and come here to discourage others from trying it. if you want something like go ahead, then watch go ahead! family by choice is it's own show with it's own charms, so if you enjoy it less, that doesn't mean someone else might not enjoy it more :)
not even a huge fan of jung haein or jung somin, but from how amazing they are as actors alone i knew this mix would be perfect. just finished episode one, i can tell this is gonna be one of the best romcoms i've seen in a while, can't wait for it to get me out of my slump
