It’s ML dying, fake dying, or getting injured. When the FL needs saving, the MLs get injured when saving them. Like Never ending summer where he gets stabbed saving her and she is kidnapped twice. I see what you mean though. FL really get the short end of the stick. They need to start mixing these tropes to make it at least a bit more interesting.

What do you mean by balanced? Two very overused tropes happening in that drama. In fact, in addition to ML being poisoned which I’ve also seen way too much of.

For every 1 drama where the FL is dying, dies, or fakes her death, there are 10 where the ML does. Looking at actors like Ding Yu Xi, Hou Minghao, He Yu, Zhang Linghe, so many of their dramas have the ML dying or faking his death. Even in Love You Seven Times, where you’d expect the deaths to be more evenly split, the ML still gets more. At this point, I’m genuinely shocked whenever it’s the FL.

Judging by the preview ML fakes his death. I get it is in the novel, but I am sick of MLs dying, fake dying, almost dying etc. This is like the 6th drama I have seen recently with this. Switch it up at least and have it be the FL.

What other dramas of his? Honestly 90 percent of dramas in general end with the ML critically wounded or in hospital.

Where did you see he dies after the wedding?

Judging from spoilers, does he get in a fire twice?

I hear you. I just wish they'd shake it up. Or at least switch up the gender. FLs get poisoned too, but it's like 1 FL poisoning for every 100 ML poisonings.

Saw from another comment and want to confirm- is the ml actually poisoned in this? If so, this is like the hundredth drama I’ve glanced at with this trope. Want to know before I dive into it when it starts.

Haven't finished yet, but anyone can tell me if we get one scene of Wuyi dying and Ji Ling crying. From my understanding we get a lot of the other so would be interesting to see the reverse.

Also, was she able to actually successfully save him in the end? That would really make this drama worth it to me.

Do any of them end up in a coma? Also, saw a video that Mu dai stabs Luo ren, what happens after that? Is he badly injured?

In the original source, what happened to Yitan and Wangquan Zui in the end? Any spoilers about them online?
