Erm, for sure this isn't your typical drama. I'm not quite warmed up to it yet. I guess there's a reason it's called a fable, definitely gives off that type of vibe -- oddly sinister, like evil being wrapped up in superfluous sugar and sparkles. XD Reminds me of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
The actors were fairly good, but the series feels like it's done amateurishly - felt like I was watching something like a play. You know, that feeling when you're aware that everyone is acting out a story XD . One part I find very starkly funny is when they add sound effects that were out of place. This happened a few times with creaking door sounds that were more like something they'd play at an old haunted house kind of setting. lol! Also, I'm a fan of romance and I wish they'd addressed this in the end instead of giving hints of a budding interest between the two but leaving that part hanging in the end. Anyway the story had enough potential. It's an okay watch, not necessarily bad.
1. Gu Meng's head must've been made out of steel considering the many traumas to the head she's written to have and yet still came out alive and well and the end . Lolz!
2. At the end things were just so messed up that I did wish they all just die and that will be a good enough ending for me, but they decided to add the last death defying scenes XD .
3. But you know, If they were to meet again 2 years later at the end there, who's to say she's not going to repeat everything again if no one clears up her misundertanding towards Hongye? LOL! It's tiring just imagining this "circle of love".
Like that one house in kdrama have thst nice sky view
Oh when it comes to Kdramas, needless to say, there are many that have been used so much already that I've stopped minding XD I guess considering the abundance of dramas that are being made there, there aren't a lot of new locations available unless they have the budget to construct their own, hahaha.
Seems like the mansion is a fave shooting location for Chinese republican short series. Provoke is one I've watched recently that uses the same place :D
It's fine if they switch up the roles in the future with Dr Ko being Ko You, but when they revealed the future Jun Hee, everything about the guy seems more fitting to be Ko You instead. He looks way bulkier for someone who's image is a nerd, and the same with the future Ko you who's supposedly a basketball athlete but now instead feels more like the nerdy Jun Hee. XD
Wait, so, aside from the hot kiss they had that turns out to just be the Dad's nightmare, they never actually had a real kiss, did they? I mean there's countless almost kisses including the one where he's needlessly being a gentleman by putting that thin curtain sheet in between their lips, but they never really had a real kiss right?! Gosh , seriously XD
Maybe it's because I'm just a layman who doesn't understand the effect of bleeding out from your neck can have to your internal organs, but the start of ep 7 kind of confuses me. So in their reenactment of the "iconic" scene that prompted the sequel Kyojo, supposedly that Tono Akihiro character was stabbed multiple times in the back of the neck area. However the blood spatter occurred at the front. While maybe the pick could have pierced through, the scene showing the operation was him lying on his back and them cutting open his front. Granted the side front of his neck was shown somewhat taped, but it doesn't seem to make sense to me at that moment. I just had to chuckle when I saw it. XD
At first looking at the poster I thought Lee Joon Hyuk is starring. But then, i was like that can't be, he's way above this level. Lol! :P Then I checked the cast and that JiYoung San really is Joon Hyuk's doppleganger XD
On a different note, WHY is it called Mrs. Durian? I'm curious to know :D
Very good drama imo. Really gonna miss it. I was thoroughly immersed in each episode from start to finish - A very solid comfortable watch through and through! :)

Overall a pretty good watch.
