If Wuliang reminded me of My Journey to You, Guo Jing Ming's version of Painted Skin shares many similarities with his latest drama, Fangs of Fortune.
From the gloomy and dark vibe to its gothic fairytale narrative, from the clothing and make-up style to the tragic love/obsession between a demon and a human, you'll find the two works also have the nearly same OST and similarly shot scenes (the elegant sword dance, a character slowly coming into frame from beneath his umbrella...)

I believe Wuliang was the draft idea for the bigger (and with higher budget) project that is My Journey to You.
While watching this short movie, I couldn't help but constantly find similarities with the 2023 drama.
From the aesthetic and colour palette of the sets, to the idea of an important sutra tattooed on someone's skin, to the fighting scenes, costumes (gloves that can deflect blades, headbands and dark tones) and hairstyles to, last but not least, some characters themselves (guards and assassins and poison experts) these two works by Edward Guo share so many similarities that one can't help but wonder whether they belong to the same fictional world.

Plot wise, they don't have much in common (except for the presence of demons and deities and different realms), so this recommendation revolves more around the general vibe and aesthetic of these two dramas.
If you like how things look in Lost You Forever, from the outfits to the colour palette of the scenery to the special effects and props, Love Between Fairy and Devil might just be your cup of tea.

Although Ancient Detective is a lot shorter and of lower budget, it shares many similarities with Mysterious Lotus Casebook.
Both dramas have a dark and grim aesthetic, have good coreographies when it comes to martial arts and focus mainly on two friends that meet by chance and solve cases they stumble upon along the way.
Mystery, found family and secret pasts are the big three for both these titles.
