what if the mother was killed by MY's mother to try and enact the plot for her books? Wasn't MY's mom a writer of detective books or thrillers or whatever it was again. It's like really fitting into that imo. Could be the mom killed more people to write books and GT's mom is one of the victims?

she's his first love, since they were kids, he was already crushing on her and he always kept restricting himself but he's slowly losing the safety pin and showing more of his thoughts and emotions so imo, the love isn't too quick. We're half in the story now, it's a good pacing imo :)
And romance in a drama isn't always realistic as you say but here's a good reason why he falls quick for her as you say so since they already knew each other when they were kids and it was after getting to know the adult female lead better that he felt more and more attracted to her, also the struggles and how she deals with it and the lack of love in both their childhood fuels this a lot imo.

someone knows the actor who plays the banddmate of Bai zhen Yu? He looks so familiar but he's not listed in the cast. I'm sure I saw him before but I can't pinpoint where and it's bothering me so much that I can't recall where I saw him before, someone knows? Thank you!

the movie was amazing, I really wonder how they're gonna make this drama version and who the cast are because Liu Haoran played his role soooo well

I think it is, but I thought there was already a Chinese remake of this drama?

The beginning was a bit slow for me but once everything got set and started and things just started to roll in the second half of the drama, it was sooo exciting to watch! It is a really heartwarming story and it made me cry multiple times T_T

Though the timetravel is now seen as a dream since nothing changed in the past after Li Jin Bu returned to the present, it was still very nice to see the journey the characters made and they all changed and developed.
The acting is amazing and you can really see the personality of each one of the characters, they fleshed them out so well that they really did look like your classmate.

I obviously felt super bad for Duan Xiao because of his love story with Li Jin Bu. Even though she never explained why she was always hesitating, he never gave up and in the end did it so that she could be happier. I really liked them and they were really natural imo too. One can only wish to have a boyfriend like Xiao!

On youtube someone commented that after watching the entire series and seeing Zhou Yan Cheng transferring to Li Jin Bu's class in the present time, it could be that he too was a timetraveler. The Duan Xiao on the old photo is not the same Duan Xiao Jin Bu knows and when he tranferrered to her class, it was the face she recognizes. The person said that he might have changed identity with Duan Xiao and was Yan Cheng all along and went back in time to be next to Jin Bu. There was also the theory that the uncle who warns Jinbu about her timetravel is in fact Zou Yan Cheng and all. Quite mindblowing since it's an open ending.
I was soooo excited to see him and the look he gave Jin Bu in the end just tells me imo that he already knows her :D
Would loved to see a special about these two or have a bit more content but I still like how the drama ended.

it does feel like that! tho not odler but a more mature version somehow :D With this female lead, the only one I can think that goes close to the character is Man Wol of hotel del luna ~

For this kind of feel, hotel del luna is definitely recommended, both badass female leads and great storytelling

from what I can understand is that this is a modern drama but they're in this kind of special school for martial arts and the school uniform has that historical costume fashion

From the beginning I knew this drama wouldn't be like Goblin where they go very deep into this topic. This drama was much more lighthearted in a sense and way less heavy. They could have gone the way you said and I would definitely sign up for it and enjoy it just as much or maybe even more, but I'm still pretty satisfied with how this drama ended up being.
I do agree with the sacred tree state, he should have been in that state much longer.

Okay, after this I will forever have a thing for Sungjae playing a role that ends up being some superpowerful deity kind of character xD
It reminded me sooo much of Goblin when the spirit of the sacred tree surfaced and I was like: YES I signed up for this!!!
He really plays the mystical powerful being quite good imo since its such a big contrast with his much more carefree and casual characters ~
Enjoyed the drama a lot! Liked how they made the different things like conceptional dreams and such with such a big twist!

IMO its an indication that she's still taking care of solving grudges of people, so she didn't end up falling endlessly in the spiral stairway :)

It really depends on people what is complicated or not and compared to other kdramas, this plotline is much more complicate than others because it goes with a new theory and all the mystery aspect of it. Even if I did pay attention there would be questions, it's bold of you to think that for someone that watched it with attentions till cannot have questions...

There are things that can be done better, I did not say that this drama is perfect for a time/space travel genre. I read and watch a lot of transmigration genre and the whole time/space travel genre since it's such a big genre in Chinese dramaland and Chinese novels. And there are always flaws. But this drama still has a lot of potential and isn't as horrible as people make it be, tho that's my opinion. Anyone can have their own opinion on how they receive things. Imo this drama would have been better without the numerous product placements and if they could flesh out the characters a bit more if it didn't only had 16 episodes, after al, as a cdrama watcher, I'm used to dramas being 50 episodes or more where they can take their time to really build everything up.
